Is your game on this list?

Here is Raptr's top 20 games played in October 2014.

Do you play any of these games or are surprised at what you see?  Any predictions on what we will see for November.  I'm sure there will be replies that will say "what is Raptr?" or these numbers don't mean anything.  I'm not here to argue any of those points because different people will say different things kind of like the definitions of sandbox and P2W.

This is just a fun look at what over 22 million players worldwide are doing and to see if it fits along with how you see the game market.

    I'm currently playing #'s 2 and 5. And I have #'s 7, 8, and 17, just haven't played them in a while.

After a 3 year hiatus, I'm back to WoW; the gaming community I play with just updated the vanilla Minecraft server too, so I've been farting around there, building the ugliest and most under-inspired creations known to Minecrafthood.

Shocked to see AA is so high....  even if all this data is before the wheels started coming off the train.

At first I was surprised SWTOR and FFXIV were so close... then I remembered one was f2p and one was subscription.

Yeh I suspect AA will probably start dropping maybe due to all the bad press and general tone towards the game around here on these forums lately.  I was also surprised about SWTOR as well.  I tried to get into that game a few times but really only as a PVP'er.  I'm not big into PVE raids but it seems EA is doing that type of end game well?  They are doing something right to steadily grow, however small the rate is.

I'm back to ESO now, so my game has dropped off the list. I was playing ArcheAge a lot back in October.

It must be disappointing for the ESO and Wildstar devs to not see their games on that list, especially since just launching this year and already being off while older games like SWTOR, GW2, and FF XIV are there.

  • Currently playing ESO as my main MMO. And its not on the list.

But i also play TF2, and that is on the list.

Now if you will excuse me, i got some hats to collect.

I'm expecting all the hacking/exploiting to put a serious dent in AA's quality of life, well that and the miracle patch that was suppose to alleviate all the land issues does not seem to have helped at all.

SWTOR recently announced a new expansion but I think too recently to be reflected in this data.  Thought there are a number of raids, they've been mostly putting out new 4 person dungeons over the last 6 months, oh yeah and player/guild housing.

SWTOR stands out to me because it's the only mmo I've played that did story well, (helps if you like Star Wars though.) every mmo I've played since their story content has felt like this sad poorly written thing that is made to be easily accessible to 10 year olds and that they really should have just saved their money on.
