For a dungeon crawler, it looks really cool. I suppose the important question will be whether it plays as well as it looks.
Also, to be fair, Trion is far from the worst publisher in the NA scene. Actually, I'd be hard pressed to name a good one, seeing as how Nexon, Gpotato, PWE, Aeria, and just about any other big name publisher is just as bad as Trion, if not worse.

insane spell fx. if the world is open enough, it might fill that mu online breach that I've been feeling lately. (yeah, i know, mu online 2 is in development)
As long as the game doesn't have a non optional inspect skill, I might try it but mmo rpgs are about:
1. competition that's why you play with others and
2. character building since that's what separates an rpg from a fps or 3rd person shooter.
So as long as people can inspect me without my permission and steal my build, this game should be worth it.
I don't understand why the inspect feature would bother anyone. The min/maxers will always find out the optimum builds and post them online for all to see anyway. And why would you be upset if someone "stole" your build? Imitation is the highest form of flattery. And besides, in a non pvp-centric game it has little effect on you.

Nah, cuz you constantly have to min max cuz patches always change things so:
1. Online posts are harder to find.
2. Online posts get out of date.
3.People who cant min max cant tell if online posts are right or wrong or where they are wrong or out of date but they can tell if you are better than them if you beat them consistenetly in which case they will inspect.
4.When people have the difficulties a
As for why non optional inspect is bad:
1. Rpgs are about character building and mmos are about competing with others so if you want to compete in character building then allowing people to inspect you non optionally means that there is no competition because if you have a better build and beat them, they will just copy you.
So if you are going to make character building obsolete by doing that, then don't bother making a rpg, just make a fps or 3rd person shooter cuz it will be the same thing as removing any competition in character building.
2. If a person does the work and has the skill to min max a better build than another, then it should be up to them to decide who deserves their help and how much help. It is morally wrong to allow others who don't have the skill or the motivation to do the work to steal their work (builds) without their permission.
Conclusion: For there to be any competition in a mmo rpg, inspect has to be optional of character building is no longer competitive. If you want a game where character building isn't necessary then you can always play a 3rd person shooter or fps.
Anyway, that's why I say although this game looks good, I have to wait and see if there is a non optional inspect skill, if there is, then I will just wait for nosgoth which is a 3rd person shooter without character building or halo 5 which is a fps without character building and play those.
In fact, Im probably gonna play halo 5 anyway but I like mmo rpgs as well so I need a mmo rpg which is competitive ie doesn't have a non optional inspect skill.
Edit: Just wanted to add, there is competition in pve as well for damage done, healing done, assists etc. so while I agree that inspect is game breaking for pvp its also game breaking for pve competition. It ruins competition in charcter building flat out and as a fan of complex rpgs like baldurs gate, divinity original sin, wasteland etc all of which have complex character building far beyond games like dragon age, I cant play a game where all that character building is ruined in a mmo because mmos are for competition and I can play my single player games if I don't want to compete.

Online posts are harder to find? Are we back in the 90's with dial-up modems and the "Ask Jeeves" search engine? Before game patches even go live there's new info all over the forums from people who are on the test servers and others that are data-mining the info. You can choose not to look at that information if you want to think up builds on your own, and that's all fine and well. But to think that some people will gain an advantage by inspecting your build is just naive. The "top" builds and the "popular" builds and "min/maxed" builds will all be readily available from multiple sources for anyone who is interested in researching them.

You completely miss the point again. Its not about the person who is inspecting choosing not to inspect. Its about the victim, the person who is being inspected being able to prevent others inspecting his work.
Please keep up. As for hard to find, yeh it is much harder to find especially as you wont be able to judge if someone elses build is better than yours in real time or have an idea of why by inspecting them while theya re beating you.
It makes it significantly more difficult.
Btw the exact top builds are extremely hard to find online on games without inspect. There are suaully mistakes in the builds you find that way because if you cant do the work yourself, you cant spot the mistakes. I can do the work myself so I spot the mistakes. I don't blame you for not being able to though.
Anyway the point remains, I play multiplayer games to compete and rpgs to build a character as opposed to clone shooters where you don't so as long as this game has competitive character building by not having a non optional inspect, I will play but if it doesn't have competitive character building due to a non optional inspect, I wont play it.
Clone shooters are a dime a dozen, no need for another one when I want a competitive rpg.

Competition? Uhh, you do realize that most MMOs are mostly about cooperation, right? Character building isn't a competition, that's a ridiculously elitist attitude to have... "morally wrong to allow others to..." are you fucking serious? Do you have any idea how elitist and infantile that sounds? We're not talking about plagiarizing a book here or corporate espionage, or anything which can actually harm others, we're talking about character builds in a video game. Sweet buttery Jesus, lighten the hell up.
Oh, and I can't tell you how many times I've seen posted builds based on somebody else's, just tweaked and improved upon. The people still did the 'work' (LOL), they just needed a starting reference point.
You entire argument is absolute bunk fueled by narcissism and elitism, and delivered with almost childish impertinence. I would suggest you take your own advice and play single player games, because MMOs don't really seem like the kind of game you would enjoy. Stick with Halo or Call of Duty; they suit your personality much better.

Yeah .. i am following both this game, and lineage eternal .. and also the new patch of D3.
I was like " Yeah ok, might be... WTF IS UP WITH THOSE OVERSIZED WEAPONS!!?!!"
Those Asian style gfx kills me every time. They just break my emersion...
I hope the open world is not all they have.
They have instanced gameplay like D3, right?
