Hi, I thought I read somewhere that EQ2 would be revamping their quest line and putting in NEW character models.... BUT, I can't seem to find the article that said it. Is this true? Did I imagine it? LOL. I thought it was part of their 10th anniversary.......
Does anyone have a link to this information, and if it is to happen what is the ETA?
I would like to come back to EQ2 but some quests are broken and the same old stuff. Character models need improving as well. That's what would get me back ;-)
Thank you!

can you give an example of an existing broken quest?
there are no plans for new character models
there was talk about about EQ2 revising skeletal models 3+ years ago but it was abandoned

Periodically I launch EQ2 in the hopes it will perform better and nothing seems to have changed. Are these changes only noticed in later levels? I keep feeling i would love to give this game a serious try but can never get past the horrible performance I seem to get. It always feels like my characters are wearing cement boots.
what frame rates are you getting?
on my old 2011 laptop, after this patch,
my framerates doubled from 20fps to 40fps (on balanced)
on my newer laptop, i average 60 fps on High Quality graphic settings

There was some graphical work done a while ago... the game certainly looks a lot better than when it released..
Regardless it's the gameplay that counts... Well to a point I'll admit
Yes, I thought I did, too. But I guess I was wrong. :-(
The broken quests I encountered were in the old starting zone outside Antonica. Seems like there were a couple quests I could not finish. This I did not imagine. lol

I just got back into EQ2 after a year away and Im rather happy with the graphical improvements over the years. With a Gtx 970, I can run most everything on the highest settings and its beautiful for the age of the game. Personally I love the character models, but Im partial to my Ratonga monk hehe. I did run into a few broken quests. Most simply let you kill the wrong NPC at the wrong moment, making it so you couldnt trigger further progress into the quest. Easy enough to get past when your aware of the issue though.
Honestly I am happy to be back. One of the best communities Ive ever played around.
