pvp gear and battlegrounds

I have a few questions about pvp gear and AA in EQ2.

From what I understand, there is pvp gear you can purchase with tokens acquired from playing battlegrounds.

1. Are there several levels of pvp gear, where you need to grind out rank1 gear first then you can grind out rank 2 gear then 3 and 4 etc. or can you purchase the highest tier gear as long as you can get enough tokens to purchase it?

2. If there are different ranks of gear, do you use different currencies to purchase the different ranks, kind of like in WoW where you buy the lower rank honor gear with honor points and the higher rank conquest gear with conquest points?

3. Do they have anything similar to arenas and rated battleground (like WoW) that you need to do in order to get the highest rank pvp gear?

4. Will a new player be at a big disadvantage in pvp by not having maxed out AA?

5. And about AA .. can they be reset and reselected?
