As a Pathfinder IP fan, I have to say that it doesn't replicate the Pathfinder RPG mechanics enough to hold fans just for that reason. It seems to be trying to be more of a fantasy MMO Eve in its skill system and other mechanics. That's a loose generalization so don't get all nitnoid on me.
I bought the $50 package based on my love of the Pathfinder IP and haven't given up on the game yet. It just seems to have a long way to go before the average fan is going to get into it.

Isn't it for the RPers to RP? Nobody can program your RP. You have to bring that to the table. PFO provides an environment where that is to be possible.

I don't roleplay in online MMOs. I was expecting the game to use the basic mechanics of the PF RPG modified for an online MMO. Kind of like how DDO used the 3.5 rule set to guide the mechanics in that game. If it was just about RP then Pathfinder fans could do that in many different MMOs.

AFAIK Repopulation is not free at the moment so your post makes totally nonsense.

I'm a backer! But I only backed it to get a free month of subscription for when it comes out. With that being said, the gameplay seems interesting and the mechanics they plan on putting in and or just refining further seem like good ideas.
So I can get past the bad graphics. But from all the screenshots I've seen all I ever see are boring looking towns and forests. Lots of forests. No mountains, no swamps nothing. I'm really sad that there isn't anything I really want to explore. Even with bad graphics I could have fun exploring areas looking for bandits and what not.
Anyone in alpha right now that can confirm different changes in scenery? I honestly haven't kept up with the game very well either so I probably missed something.
I hate to say it as it has a few neat concepts that lured me in initially, but this game falls completely flat in execution. It's easily a contender for worst MMO I've ever played, and that includes many F2P throwaway MMOs.

The Repopulation's plan is to be F2P on release.
