ESO on Steam

TalgenTalgen Member UncommonPosts: 400

I was curious about ESO so I decided to check it out after all the talk lately of updates...

Am I missing Something?  Steam says the Imperial Addition is $79.99 ~~ But if you go to The Elder Scrolls Online website, you can buy the Imperial Addition for $29.99  .....

Is there something fantastically extra in the Steam version that I'm missing here?

I think steam comes with a dog vanity pet.. I think.  Go for the cheaper one or wait for steam do run another sale on it. It was pretty low the past couple weeks on there.

Just a weird disconnect between the Steam and direct buy prices. It's a no brainer, buy it direct from the ESO store.

Steam comes with a pillow for you to lay your head on while waiting for the fully-voiced cut scenes to end.

Gotta love the amount of negative reviews in Steam xD

Also that Skyrim and Skyrim Legendary Edition outsell ESO hundredfold xD

There are no cut-scenes in the game.

@OP Be sure to check both of them are the full Imperial Edition, because there is also an Imperial Edition UPGRADE which you can buy to get the rewards you obtain with the ImpEd (vanity pet, free horse, Imperial race, faction unlock and some treasure maps I think it is) if you have the game already (explorer or normal edition).

You have the game even cheaper at kinguin. 9.99€ for normal edition +1.41€ for explorers upgrade (the pack for both is surprisingly more expensive [10,40€ vs 14.29€]). The ImpEd is 36.99€.

Yeah, imagine that. Skyrim only had a headstart of... four years or something?

And on top of that it's an offline game that doesn't require subscription fees. You really opened my eyes with that revelation there! ;-)

My SWTOR referral link for those wanting to give the game a try. (Newbies get a welcome package while returning players get a few account upgrades to help with their preferred status.)
