MH have also raids, and raids (simple but very effective) mechanics, that requires 10 ppl, you can't solo content this, and you don't often see an "arpg" with some mechanics directly taken from "classic MMO"
But well , for this debate, on the first place, you should ask mmorpg.com staff why did they put Marvel Heroes in the list , if it's not a MMO or it wasn't even in the top 10 popular games of mmorpg.com... ? do not blame the MH community for that, and those who calls this game a still mediocre game probably didn't played it since launch. I saw plenty of "come-back" players that didn't even recognize the game since launch with so much stuff added in it , their reaction was funny, but understanble. Give it a chance, and come back and say "it's not my type of game, didn't liked it" is a more respectful way of saying it,
Did any of us said that ESO or other games are mediocre at best ? ESO was at start, like MH was, but i can't speak for ESO now because i don't play the game anymore , so i don't say anything because it could have improved , and above all i'm not here to add some misinformation toxicity in this poll.
I feel like you are giving a little too much praise to FFXIV, I play it, and I enjoy it, but it did not bring more content (fixing the game is not new content) than any other mmo out there in the last year, actually, it barely brought any content compared to some of the other AA titles.
This is like the MMO equivalent of saying climate change doesn't exist.
FFXIV support in the last year was BAR NONE to any MMO- hell, any video game in existence. No hyperbole, just cold hard facts.
It is frankly amazing that someone who plays the game would be oblivious enough to state something like this.
Anyway, glad to see Marvel Heroes winning by a massive landslide as it should! /sarcasm
Once again your opinion not a FACT.
As much as support can be quantified and compared (so, to a large degree), it is just that: a cold hard fact.
What's your problem this time? Is it the facts I laid on the table in response to a comment that has very much to do with the topic at hand? How terrible of me.
Using LOL is like saying "my argument sucks but I still want to disagree".

Really?
How about the fact that climate change has been happening since the existence of Earth. Did you know there is climate change on ALL the planets?
What does climate change have to do with man made MMO's?

This is going into 'tangent' territory but 'facts' are generally backed up by... facts.
Like, I can say GW2 had a lot of content released last year because it got Living Story S2.
SWTOR received a lot of content via 2 fairly lengthly instances.
etc etc
Back on topic, I voted and boy was it hard to choose between Divinity:Original Sin and Dragon Age Inquisition.
It shows what PvP games are really all about, and no, it's not about more realism and immersion. It's about cowards hiding behind a screen to they can bully other defenseless players without any risk of direct retaliation like there would be if they acted like asshats in "real life". -Jean-Luc_Picard

Yeah, there needs to be some kind of vagueness for facts to need backing up though. Do you often back up the claims that night follows the day and that water is wet?

I believe ESO fans did the exact same thing last round of voting MH fans are doing now. So why the outrage. Very funny all this fighting. Voted for FFXIV and D:I
Marvel Heroes being in this list is a joke. The fact that it's somehow winning currently is a bigger one. Did they post this on their launcher or something?
It's a cheap Diablo clone with a Marvel-hero skin and has no business being on this list when actual MMORPGs like Eve Online are left off.
MH is made by the original creator of Diablo, and it has more content than D3 and in my personal opinion more fun. It didnt get my vote only because of the point and click only gameplay limitation. Also, EvE mmorpg? lol.....
I feel like you are giving a little too much praise to FFXIV, I play it, and I enjoy it, but it did not bring more content (fixing the game is not new content) than any other mmo out there in the last year, actually, it barely brought any content compared to some of the other AA titles.

So explain what about this scenario is not an undeniable fact:
Dev A offers an update with completely new music tracks. Dev B offers an update with reused music tracks or altered music tracks.
Dev A offers 12 new instances within a year, each instance being of X length. Four instances feature completely new environments, monsters and boss models. Eight instances feature old environments with altered textures, monsters and completely new bosses. Nine equipment models that drop from said instances are completely new. Five equipment models are reskins of old equipment models.
Dev B offers four new instances within a year, each instance being of X length. One instance features completely new environments, monsters and boss models. Three instances feature old environments with altered textures, monsters and completely new bosses. Two equipment models that drop from said instances are completely new. Three equipment models are reskins of old equipment models.
What about dev A being the undeniably better supporter of their game is "an opinion" when it comes to the quantifiable support? There is no opinion in the equation; only facts (A is better) and denial (B is better).
Opinion territory is the non-quantifiable matters (is the design subjectively more or less entertaining/agreeable, is the content priorities in line with one's subjective priorities, how much do the developers perceively "care" about the customers outside spending money on the development etc.). I agree that those matters are based on opinion at best, and can sometimes override quantifiable value in importance. However the quantifiable matters are absolutely not opinions.
If you're still going to reply with a drive-by one-liner you're just trolling.
Using LOL is like saying "my argument sucks but I still want to disagree".
Clearly this voting system is a farce, if a game that has barely any votes can skyrocket to disproportionate levels in a matter of a few hours. I think everyone is questioning why Marvel Heroes 2015 is at 50%+. Perhaps the criteria for voting eligibility in the yearly polls should be altered to more accurately reflect the MMORPG.com active community. Personally I frequent this site daily, I'd be curious to see the activity logs of those that voted for Marvel Heroes 2015.

So how about all the new accounts that posted for ESO last round ?
Prove the Marvel Heroes community wrong. If any of you think the game you support deserves to win then rally your community if you can. That's all there is to this.

Clearly it's rigged when the voting doesn't go YOUR way !!
BTW I voted MH 2015 because IMO it's better than ESO.

Most people in that same thread are expecting items since they admit to getting items when they voted for most improved.
While I liked the rewards, I also thought that it was a mistake.
I didn't vote for Marvel Heroes either time for some potential rewards, but because in my opinion I thought it deserved to win in the catagories it was placed.

Yeh, that's whats funny about all of this. This is deja vu from last month. Funny when the shoe is on the other foot some of the very people questioning this particular poll's results so far are the same ones who where claiming that anyone who questioned the validity of the last poll were simply just haters.
Is Marvel Heroes even an MMO? it might well be a multiplayer online game, but, i'm not sure it really falls into the category of an MMO, even less so than GW1 did imo, as that game had far more credibility as an MMO. It doesn't even allow you to create your own heroes afaik.
Personally i voted for Shadow of Mordor and FFXIV;ARR.
Shadow of Mordor because it was innovative and fun, and the nemesis system was just awesome. FFXIV;ARR because it remains a consistently good game, with imo, a great and friendly community.
Marvel Heroes is totally an MMO. Has every aspect of an MMO. Hell, it even has 10 man raids.

Ah relax. Y'all should come laugh with us. P101 community did the same thing you're doing and they had the common sense to keep it in perspective. It was fine. MH community should probably calm down a little bit and enjoy the limelight. We all know where mh will be a week from now. Sorry if you took anything I wrote too seriously, let's keep it lighthearted.

My activity for this site is non-existent, because on this site, there is almost nothing to give me something interesting to read. But I frequent MH forum like most of the people that voted for the game. You know why? Because that forum is interesting place. Do I find something here about my game that I cannot find on our forum? Probably not. So why should I hang out here instead of there? And just because I am not a frequent lurker on this forum doesnt´t mean I cannot vote. We have community so small compared to those other games in competition that it would be impossible to rig this kind of voting if their players came here and voted for their game. We are not ahead because of cheating or something, we are ahead because a large amount of our player base came here and voted. What do other player bases do? Nothing. They don´t vote, because they don´t care and those who care then complain about unfairness of this poll.
As I said, our players care about our game and that is why they vote. And we care about our game, because we are a great community with great people . I am not saying there aren´t any people who created more than one account just for this voting. But that would never be enough to win this if players of those other titles just came here and vote. It would be fun to show us actual numbers and not just %.

Week from now? Hmm, let´s see. New hero, new costumes, rework of old hero, complet rework of one of the game mods, rework of system for one of the items. Different event and plenty of other things I don´t remember right now. In next few weeks come achievements, new raid, rework of team-up system, plenty of new heroes with rework of old heroes, new events and much more things.
Our game is based on something that has 75-year history and is doing it right. And I would say that its safe to assume that our game will be here in few years and will be better then ever. I know it isn´t perfect game, there is no such thing. but no other game on that list has at least half as great community as we have.

Sorry. I think you misunderstood me. I meant that MH will go back to being mostly obscure on this site. In sure your game will go on and have a full life
The reason you don't see much activity on the Marvel Heroes page is because it is infrequently updated.
For example, the overview section is over a year out of date. The game has weekly updates and monthly new character releases. As of this weekend, with the release of The Winter Soldier, there will be 44 characters. All characters have three trees of talents to choose from.
If mmorpg.com starts updating more regularly about Marvel Heroes then their section about it will skyrocket. The Marvel Heroes community wants substantive, interesting and thought provoking articles. Currently, it's just a little depressing.

You are right. Well, MH has, thanks to a bad start, still mediocre reputation and most people and sites don´t even update their reviews about the game.
