Salem.. A review, to save your gaming time

When i started to play Salem were 3 servers. Not having the succes devs thought it will the wiped out everything and started over, with a single server. Since then the game went from bad game to Worst ever.

This game doesnt have anything to do with crafting. Is a huge raiding newbies by veteran players. I personally suggested to be able to hire guards from main town providence if you can afford, but alot of players said Brazier - so called guards - is better than guards. And they are right of course is better FOR RAIDING PARTY, not for defender. In this game a strong veteran can ALONE destroy a town if you have bad inspiration to not be able to fill those braziers with coal, or you don't have enough iron to build them.

 

Obvious what was once a safe building i presumed still is, the leanto, now is excelent for raiders. You can be looted WHILE LOGGED OUT, aswell you can be "summoned" and KILLED, while your not playing. 

 

So crafting game? Lets be serious. If you invest any penny in this game is a HUGE LOSS since NOTING is safe in this game. Not to mention Permanent death of character.

 

Hope this will help new players to find a better game with crafting system.

They wiped because they stopped developing for a full year and a new company was taking over.

I guess the thousands of pages in the wiki about crafts and buildings are a lie then LOL.

You only get raided if you are stupid enough to make someon angry. The map is 12 hours of walking long and if you are stupid enough to settle in the 30 mins radius from providence the guides drop you, you deserver to get raided.

You don't get raided if you build proper BRAZIERS are you serious? Guardians? 

You obvisouly didn't get into the game, this is not for casuals and you shouldn't do a review of a game you have not played.

That is not a safe building mate, you have to get a personal claim, walls, and torchposts or braziers to be safe.

 

You mentioned summon killed, okay, see you didn't get to understand anything about the game?

 

You can only get summon killed if someone has evidence that you have murdered another player or stealed from their PRIVATE AKA PERSONAL CLAIM PROPERTY.

What does this means? That you are totally safe offline as long as you are not commiting crimes.

People that do commit crimes tho, they do it on alt characters they don't care to lose as much as they would care for losing their main. This does not means that building a crime alt is easy tho, it's too much time consuming.

Basically this, OP is dumb and didn't know what he was getting into. Now he is mad because he made poor choices and paid for them.

I wouldn't mind this game, except the interface is clunky.  this game is like driving a tractor.  I actually don't mind the low level graphics, but its clunky.
