Not only does it need an update, I'd like to see the non-mmorpgs taken off the main page.  Seeing "Upcoming" and "Newly Listed" games and thinking its a new MMORPG just to find out its some effing moba or rts game really pisses me off every time.  I'm not here for that stuff and I venture to say most other people aren't either.  Shove all the non-mmorpg stuff into another section or another site altogether.  I'm tired of seeing superfluous information about games that are irrelevant to the mmorpg genre on a site called mmorpg.com.

I'd rather see the name of some 2-bit indie mmorpg on those panels that doesn't have a chance in hell of being released than a normal RPG.  Theres plenty of mmorpgs that could really use the publicity.  Seeing it there could make a huge difference for them and the genre as a whole.

Massively's decline has absolutely nothing to do with the decline of the MMOG genre. This is blatantly obvious given that Joystiq which covers most if not all games is also out of business as well. Don't get me wrong the MMOG genre is in trouble but that's completely unrelated to the Massively shutdown.

So they launched a kickstarter for Massively Overpowered and it's already 2/3 over with 27 days to go. Not bad.

I was surprised to hear AOL still existed. I thought it was the internet our granparents used before the War? o.0

As I hear the Massively crew will come back soon (tm) with "Massively Overpowered".

I've been visiting both for a LONG time, and I'm sad to see Massively go.

I don't mind the advertising, I'm not an idiot - every business needs $ to survive.

I just hope MMORPG.com classes it up a bit - IGN/Gamespot rarely give any good coverage to the MMO genre, but they always get a LOT better access to devs, events like E3, etc.

I'm sure MMORPG.com's budget is a fraction of IGN/Gamespot, but focusing specifically on a single genre I hope ya'll can start offering the same level of access and exclusives to the MMO genre that IGN/Gamespot get.

Pretty much in the same boat here.

Massively was good for reading up on news on things and the simple format made it ideal for a quick look at work maybe I would read one or two news items a day.

The last time I bothered to read or feel the need to read anything on mmorpg.com was a few months back. Mainly because Massively seemed to cover way more news. Not just that but was more laid out better and appealing to read stuff.

That being said MMORPG.com community is the best out there so that is why I come here mainly.

Just replying to again state that I cannot WAIT to show you what we have coming. It's not 100% ready, but believe me when it is? You're all going to be so so so happy.

In the meantime, we have brand new forums with MUCH better tools and gadgets to play with coming in the near future (by March probably).

We're also working on small tweaks to the current site to make news and article browsing much easier on the homepage while we wait for the completely new site later this year.

Try to be excellent to everyone you meet. You never know what someone else has seen or endured.

You sound like a typical Game Dev trying to convince players that the next patch is THE Patch to fix it all.
