    I really cant see the appeal in this game.

     

    From watching the kickstarter what they are offering are hub based instanced worlds with saved characters..

    Im in this game brings back alot of risk vs reward, something that is completely lacking in todays mmorpgs.

    It's nice to see a game focusing on team play, which inherently involves PvP, but I think the scaffolded approach to pvp will appeal to both lightweights and heavyweights.  Too many multi-player games avoid multi-play.

     

    On a side note, I love HiveLeader, but I like him better, when he is a bit more critical and silly.  This video just felt like an advertisement.

    I'm glad to see some more PvP only MMOs. Hopefully these will give the PvPers a place to call home and they won't have to try and infect our PvE games :-p.

    Just visit the cash shop, quaff a few pots and it'll be ok cupcake. Oh, also buy insurance on your armor and weapons so when you die you'll get it all back also. Also stat boosters, xp boosters, lucky rabbits feet, mounts, crafting component packs, cosmetic clothing sets, decoder rings and well, you get the picture.

    I'll keep my eye on this game for the future. But for now, I'm not keen on kickstarting anything.

    Game looks interesting. Will say wasn't what i was expecting, all the instanced campaigns, but still looks good and will give it a go.  I will say the combat reminds me nothing of Tera, more Guild wars 2 and Wildstar tbh.

     

    Defo worth keeping an eye on

    My list is actually quite small.

    Persistent virtual online world + Various character progression systems.

    Rare materials, lack of global auction house, unique items that wear out.... /facepalm

     

    They took all the worst mechanics from old MMOs and put them in their game, completely ignoring reasons why they are not used any more, only to repeat same mistakes.

     

    Also, no word if one does not want to join this instanced battlegrounds...

    Wow this game is a lot further out that I thought it would be.  The expect Alpha 1 to start in the late summer 2016.  Too early to get excited for me.

    I haven't been following this game so I don't know how much other information is out there about it but just from reading this article I have to admit that I don't quite get it.  I'll try to reserve judgment for now.

    Ok, so basically there is a persistent area which is no PvP?  This is where the guild cities will be located.  Does each city exist in its' own private zone/instance or multiple cities in one persistent zone?

    And then there are PvP areas with resources to fight over, I guess basically PvP battlegrounds.  Calling those areas "campaigns" confuses me a little.  Does that just mean you are campaigning for PvP control of the area or is there something else going on there?

    Each PvP area has a different rule set.  Ok.  One is guild versus guild, self explanatory.  One is three faction warfare: what decides which faction you belong to?  Another is deity based if I understood it but does that mean you could fight against people in your own guild if they follow a different god?  And if someone from another guild has the same god as you then you couldn't attack them? 

    Like I said, I don't quite get it.  One thing is certain though.  They darn well better make the PvP fighting fun.  The game appears to be depending entirely on PvP  fighting as the hook so they better think things through very carefully and work hard to make it entertaining and engaging.

    LMAO.  You call that winter?!  It's been closer to -50 degrees wind chill here in the Northeast lately.

    Oh, and FWIW the game looks pretty meh to me.

    Risk vs Reward will not work in today's MMO if there is a cash shop.  Why?  Because the company will want players to Pay real money to protect their stuff.  What will happen?  Only people willing to spend thousands of dollars on a game will play.  Meaning the game will be dead because few people will play it.

    Also Risk vs Reward will only work in a Sub based MMO that does not put major risk like Full PVP looting on the table.  It just will not work period.  I played UO back in 1998, and I can tell you I loved it then I loved the risk vs reward when I lived in my parents basement and have hours to play a game.  Today if I lost my gear like I did in UO you can bet I will not play it.  Does there need to be some risk?  Yep I will Do SWG risk any day, where after so long and so many times of dying my gear will break.  Why?  Because I will not need to keep countless sets of gear and have to mange gear because of these people who think HARSH DEATH = better players.  It does not, players will suck and will not get better if they loose their gear.  They just will not play your MMO.  However a middle ground where Gear breaks are so much use I feel would be a middle ground because players can have 2 or 3 sets sitting in their house ready to go.

    So if I mine in a PVP area and get better ore I'm not being rewarded vs mining in a no pvp area with lower quality ore?

    It was just a greater challenge to click mine?

    And if I come with 5 buddies, blow you up and take your ore, where is my risk? Yet, I get same reward as you.
