Excited for Skyforge because I really can't wait to dive in to the world that the Allods devs and Obsidian have dreamed up this time. Allods had its low points: it was something of a WoW-clone hampered by a greedy cash shop but the world/setting was enjoyable.
For me the awesumness of being able to play through your own mythology! Starting out as an Immortal Follower of the previous God and Rising up, Gaining in Strength through your Followers and Gaining in Renown by helping the inhabitants of your world, while they build temples and statues in your honour. I am really extremely psyched to play the new fluid combat system they designed, after testing different styles. Joining with my friends and allies to conquer other pantheons, in both PvP and PvE, will be exhilarating! The depth and design of the ascension atlas provides for diversity and long term goals, giving the game some added lifeblood. And well, invasions.... Gods Vs Aliens sweeet.
I'm currently enjoying my vacation, playing MMOs with my friends. There are so many different and amazing games out there, but i can't help to always look out for the next new thing to hit. Skyforge honestly looks to be a strong contender. I hope the story will be amazing and the PVE Content plenty. Trailers can only show so much, but i'm hyped
Where to start really? There are just so many options to list why I am excited for this game but I will put it as best I can.
You can become a god in time. I do like how you start off as an immortal and have to work your way up to godhood. You aren't just given a divine set of abilities and told to lay waste to your enemies. You do have to work for it and in turn you come to appreciate your achievement better.
The ascension atlas. Looks great and so is the idea behind it. 2 tiers to build your character up with stat wise and when switching from class to class you don't lose the stats because you leveled a berserker to max and then decide to play a cyromancer. It should offer some interesting choices on how to initially build your character.
Invasions. It sounds something like Rift's rifts but on a grander scale. You also wont just be able to rush in and smash your head against the mobs as they get harder and harder as time progresses and the cannon fodder is wiped away. After killing the boss then the server gets a nice bonus is always a good thing.
The PVP system does sound like fun and at least there wont be any horrible ganking since you can't enter a noob zone to start killing everyone. Hopefully the matchmaking system is all they say it is and there isn't any bad matchups where balance of power is more in favor of one person.
All in all it looks like a damn fun game and I would love to win a founders pack.
Why is almost every poster started account on same day, have same amount of posts and are saying the exact same things. Work for Skyforge? Sounds like writing from a list.
From the simple and dynamic fluid action animations to the incredibly complex and versatile character empowering system, Skyforge seems like an mmo gamer's wet dream come true. For me what sets Skyforge apart though is the community and following it has been able to foster, from fan work competition to streams and give aways, it really shows that they know what they are doing! I have no doubts that the game itself WILL live up to the hype and expectations.
There are several reasons why I am very excited with skyforge:
1. All-classes in one! no more are you limited to a single class and forced to restart if you're interested in another class. 2. Unique Sci-Fi+Fantasy environment (steampunk)! Skyforge has done a really good job with the incorporation of both different styles and themes, with a good storyline, exciting features and beautiful art and graphic. 3. God-form! A very unique and highly exciting feature that show's a lot of promise. 4. The Atlas system! So many different options that it is simply astonishing, with so many different ways to progress it promises a unique path for most and a vast amount of adaptability and something truly different compared to the standard leveling style. 5. Invasion/Raids/pantheons! Large group events is something that I really enjoy in an mmorpg. The immense pvp and pve events is always something to look for in a good mmorpg. 6. The adepts! This religion based concept of having followers powering you up as an immortal/God is something that I have never seen before in a game. 7. Action combat with free mouse look and partial TAB targeting! 8. New promising concepts that's been brought to life in a unique world. 9. Good and proven developer (Allods team). 10. Skyforge is the game that has made the most excited yet!
The Class System (Switching Classes (waiting for specific roles can get very irritating and annoying))
The Character System - it's very relative open
The Multilateral Progression - I am really excited about the Deity System
Player Activities and their rich Diversity
Lore and Story Line - one of the most important things in any game
The Unique Stat System - This is something new... it seems to scream openly 'chose your play style', combining this with the rest (progression and class system), we get a whole new feeling and gameplay...
Social Network Outside the Game - sounds really promising, especially when there is an upcoming event...
The Amazing Graphics Design
Classes - they are fresh, they are known, but they are different in this game, all this screams to me 'Really Interesting'...
If we combine all that which I mentioned above that equals to one incredible game, which I plan to play for a VERY long time... by what I've seen so far in this game and the passion put it in it, seems like it will keep strong community, which will build great friendships and open doors towards the perfect community for everyone. Which will maintain the game and stick to it, and this is another really important element for me...
I've been playing MMOs with the same group of friends for several years now. But after Dragon Nest kind of died, we did not manage to transition to any other game yet. I hope Skyforge will bring back the all the fun nights filled with excitement and laughter
The classes seem to have a fairly unique twist on a rather usual set of tropes. The trooper in particular has facinating mechanics, both short and long range capabilities of the hand-cannon.
The graphics are also pretty high-up there.
Overall, a good competitive entry into the market by two veteran game studios (Allods company and Obsidian).
In last few years mmo genre games started to pop out like a mushrooms after the rainy day. The tragic side is that only a few of them actually looks cool and the genre started to go down the sinkhole because of their dullness and c/p effect. I'm looking forward to try out Skyforge which is actually the first mmo game in the last few years that IMHO have a really good potential to be the great game with awesome gameplay.
There seem to be a lot of reasons to be amped up about Skyforge! The biggest one for me is that it respects the fact that I am a real person whose time is valuable. A progression system that rewards me for investing in a single character while allowing me to experience a huge variety of playstyles. A system where having to take a few days off doesn't make me feel like I'm forever beyond on the treadmill.
Beyond that, it's hard to argue with the amazing possibilities of this setting combined with an active combat system. The breadth of styles available, from cryo magic, to sword & shield brawling, to rocking the big guns really opens up the chance for the game to stay fresh and interesting. The fact that the combat is active and skill based means that swapping to a new style isn't just about making a different colored laser or explosion when you press "2", it means learning and experimenting with a whole new way of playing the game. I'm really excited to work on mastering multiple classes, all of which have a lot nuances if you want to play them well.
Wrapping all that variety and differing game experience into a system where you can swap between these archetypes without being punished is brilliant. Why should I have to "level up" for hours or days just to try out gunning or berserking? I've put my time in with the basics, let me get straight to whatever brand of fun I'm interested in at the moment! Grinding for the sake of grinding isn't fun for anyone. When you deliver a system where the meat is in learning and improving your skills rather than endlessly chasing the next exclamation mark, there's potential for something really new and innovative in the stale MMO market. That's the promise of Skyforge, and it's an enticing one.

Like a child between Tera and SWTOR, but done right.
