Just tried getting back into it for a hour or so.  Just can't do it.

Impressed with the ESO teams progress, specificly the justice system is so good we CANT STOP STEALING EVERYTHING.

Its really fun to just chill and watch the guards massacre noobs figuring out the new system :)

Also it should be mentioned that the cashshop is incredibly noninvasive, I just read a thread on mAssivlyOP that they even took down healthpots to make sure they were not more powerful that crafted pots, so props for that.

The justice system is nice, and I've been enjoying the QoL changes as well, like the collection page for pets, mounts, outfits, etc...

The riding system overhaul is nice too, no more leveling individual mounts. Instead you raise your character's riding skill.

Left WoW 2 months ago to return to TESO.  I left TESO originally because beta and launch were broken... too many things didn't work right.

So, I had fun back at WoW for a couple of months, but got bored because it is just a 'wait in the city doing LFG' now.

Decided to try TESO again because I was hearing great things.  Went back in January and have been hooked every since.

I am having a blast questing and crafting out in the real world.  The zones are packed and it seems the pop was really ramping up in 2015 getting ready for the 17th.  Tons of peepz in all the zones helping, questing, giving advice, sharing, chats very active, guilds growing and the selling of stuff in the guild stores is awesome... for the first time I am actually making money selling treasures and my crafts.  I know, I know... I catch on slowwwwwww!

Anyway, I am having a blast and I go to the pvp area sometimes and those battles are frk'n epic.  Being in big attacks with billions and billions and billions of other people is WAY fun!

I hope everybody else is having fun... if not check your brain and make sure you have the Fun add-on installed!

    Amazing pvp  fun !

--I played the game in Beta and other testing and with a pass thing for a little while. My opinion only; but it never was worth paying for.

Most gaming sites said "It was a risk on the p2p" theme. They did it anyway, not sure where the interest in the game went for most with its semi-terrible graphics and animations and "phase bugs" but I think most ppl kno it'd go "F2P" at some point.. though its still a 'Box Buy' ...for now. Though to be honest, Im hearing more good things about 'The Secret World' which I believe has the same setup. Not sure on prices.

But yes, overall, ESO is trying to fix its Goof-Ups... though is it to little to late ? Maybe not

Games I've Played: SilkRoad, Flyff, NeoCron, PlanetSide, Rapplez, UpshiftRacer, Drift City, TB, Kwonho, ArchLord, AoA, Exteel, WolfTeam, Shaiyan, WoKF, FFXIV, STO, KoTR, ESO, Defiance, Mabinogi

    Games I'm Playing: Warframe/STO

Games I'm Pondering: The Secret World

The game is still boring as all hell and the justice system is pretty lame and has no actual purpose to gameplay.

    Playing: Smite, Marvel Heroes
Played: Nexus:Kingdom of the Winds, Everquest, DAoC, Everquest 2, WoW, Matrix Online, Vangaurd, SWG, DDO, EVE, Fallen Earth, LoTRo, CoX, Champions Online, WAR, Darkfall, Mortal Online, Guild Wars, Rift, Tera, Aion, AoC, Gods and Heroes, DCUO, FF14, TSW, SWTOR, GW2, Wildstar, ESO, ArcheAge

A lot of new players seem not to like the UI setup. Just a 5 skill setup is being way over used in new mmo's now. And they are complaining about the ability wheel which works great in a single player game just not so good in a online game because of lag.

Grouping tool is still not working. It has been broken since November and they are actively ignoring all posts on their own forum, about it.

    Bought it last night.

Played through the first scene a while ago.

Will probably uninstall it before tonight, Lol.

Seriously, first game I've played where a Sorcerer basically was forced to melee with a 2H sword because the spell damage is laughable and the mana consumption is completely illogical.

Also, the controls are extremely awkward for an MMORPG and just don't work well with people who play with a Gamepad + Mouse instead of a keyboard.  This game needs a complete UI revamp, IMO, and more classes.

Why would they give a Sorcerer that weapon type at level one?  It makes literally no sense.

The client at least performs decently.

I need a game with better caster classes and more distinct itemization choices and a better skill system, though.  This is certainly not it.

Oh well, $60 down the drain.  I can't really complain.  I'll just move on.

I also find the new player experience to be quite terrible in guiding you around decently for the first few quests.

I absolutely HATE how everything disappears on the screen when you're not in combat.  I also hate how you have to press '.' to unlock your mouse.  I don't like the Combat System.  I prefer Tab Targeting.  It works better with house and KB/Gamepad on a PC.  Action Combat systems are more suitable for consoles and controller players, IMO.

The 1.6 combat changes didn't really change much as far as animations go. The combat animations are still just bad. I play a DK and I can melee mobs that are way out range of my actual reach with my sword it just kills my immersion for this game.  The quest stories are not to bad but the combat is just awful.

The combat is like that to take ping into account. Did you just start playing online games?

I am having too much fun again in FF14 to come back to ESO right now. I burnt myself out from this game because I was a full time beta tester for this game and I just got bored after awhile. May go back one day.

Back and although I haven't had much playing time available lately, I have been having fun.  Just need to get used to the changes.

So you are complaining about not having your character created for you and the game not holding your hand enough? You know you can tab target lock a mob right? You know you can loot and equip a staff by killing and looting chests yes? I thought you were being sarcastic, but I guess not.

I do like the new opening better than when played last. I like the better look of npcs during the dialogue. I decided to wait for console release, but thought I would check out some of the new stuff. I like it and am looking forward to June.

Logged back in to my lv 36 character. Tried to do some questing, but it got pretty boring after an hour or so. The thought of doing this kind of questing, solo, for many hours to reach VR 14 just does not appeal.

Inventory management is still a huge pain. I know it's a pretty usual MMO thing, but I am tired of having to stop what I'm doing and go empty my bags. Realistic? Yes. Fun? Not so much.

Combat is still not doing it for me. Yes, animations are a touch better, there are more thuds and cracks than I remember. But it's still a bit floaty and awkward, at least for me as a nightblade.

The world is still extremely pretty, although cloaked in thick fog to hide the low quality distant textures. The client is as smooth as silk and runs very well for me in most places at 50-60fps on max settings.

Going to try some PVP in Cyrodiil to see if that draws me in to the game. Otherwise it's goodbye ESO.

Having fun here... aside from the justice system, it's not much different thus far into B2P.

i liked the leveling the first time i did it, so i decided to start my nightblade this time.

so far the game looks good,

    * all bugs that have been in quests and whatnot have been fixed,

    * combat still seems to be fun,

    * gfx are still superior,

    * environment is awesome as always.

    * immersion works quite good.

but that was never my prob anyway.

gonna have to wait and see how endgame works out by now :)

uh, for the record, had 800 free kronen (cashshop money) spend it on some costumes, spend 7 more euro and bought a cat.

so far nothing OP in it (good thing), but as it has been said on other threads, we will have to wait and see if it stais like that.

ps: still missing DB and the thieves guild

    No I'm complaining about:

    I create a character.

    Sorcerer

Which is, ideally, a spell caster.

And the game says "Loot the corpse of some mob"

    and it's a 2H sword.

I shouldn't have to go kill a bunch of MOBs with a melee weapon when I created a spell casting character in an mmoRPG and the game decided to give me a 2H sword for a weapon.

And the game just come across as extremely boring and monotonous.  TONS of running around.  There's lot of quests, but after a while it gets messy unless you take a fairly lineage path as even with waypoints (which many other games have) you have to do a metric ton or funning around.

Additionally, the controls seem set up for controller use.  If I were using an Xbox controller on a Windows PC, then maybe that would be "okay," but in that case I'd rather play it on a Console, anyways.  I'm using a Razer Tartarus on an iMac, and the controls are terrible.  It's hard to dodge with the D Pad because the game often doesn't recognize the "double taps" from the gamepad (lag?) and there are too many modifier keys that have to be pressed during combat for things like interrupting and breaking crowd control.  There is just no way to get a sane key bind setup on the gamepad because the combat mechanics are... just not all that great.

As for tabbing to lock a target... Lol.  Well, I think it says enough about their attention to detail and new player experience that you need to get trolled on MMORPG.com forums to find that out.

No one is asking to get their hands held, but in every game this complicated there is a certain amount of hand holding that should be in the game at the very first levels, and characters of certain classes (no, I don't care what you have to say about the open ended class system - we all know most people playing Sorcs are playing to DPS) shouldn't be given gear that makes no sense on that class by the game.

I wouldn't expect any RPG game to start me off with a Sword on a Caster.  I wouldn't expect any RPG to start me off with Robes on a Melee Class.

They need more classes, and they do need to tunnel the classes down a bit so that itemization makes a little more sense and they can better balance builds and damage types between them.

The game feels like a single player game, except with tons of trolling/spamming in the zone chat in major cities.

No different than the alternative, except less fun.

Also, about 20 minutes ago after exiting the game it completely froze up my iMac.  I had to hold the power button down to hard reset my computer (unplugging it and plugging it back in would have worked as well).

He also doesn't realize you can have the action bar stay visible outside of combat but I guess that was more difficult to do than posting a rant here.
