Figured I'd give the Realm Reborn a try with the 14 day free trial.
First off, register with a new account, supposed to get a code in the email (the code is only good for an hour), three hours later, no code.
So I go to register another account, able to login at their site, not a problem, go to login after installing the software, says the username/pw are invalid. Check the site again, all good. Check the software, doesn't exist.
So I go to support. Requires a login. Use the login that works on their site, nope, invalid.
Figuring there were different registrations for each site, try to register my user name, nope in use. Click recover password, I get the email. Change the password. Still able to get into the main site with the new password. No login for the game or the support site.
I know we're not allowed to swear here, otherwise there'd be a considerable amount of profanity here.
Screw Square Enix and the abomination they fell out of.

I honestly don't know what's so hard. They even made a site for 5 year old's with moogles and stuff. Honestly, this is trivial and i just tested it, it works fine.
No argument here.
Their account systems has ALWAYS been messed up.
Back in the old days when I played FFXI, it was hard to to get it running, harder to add a character slot, and even worse to cancel. One of many reasons were the names they used instead of account and character slots. I don't remember those names now, but I do remember I had to google to be sure what they meant.
And btw, I also tried to recover my password for a FFXIV trial recently. I had forgotten my password, resetting it didn't work, contacted support, and they demanded my password to reset it. Service and common sense isn't terms they're familiar with.
I know they're losing customers because of this, I have a friend to gave up getting an account running, after multiple and weird problems. I doubt it's an isolated case.
