Seriously. For such a huge genre/theme in the movie world today...were really lacking with these types of games, in my opinion. As much as I think Marvel Heroes is an alright game. It's nothing to write home about as I'm not a big fan of ARPGs. eventualy the characters feel OP and all the same in that game (the same heroes feel the same as other players...like my Venom and his/her Venom). I'm also not a fan of the top down view and not creating my own character.
Overall, I'm just upset with the lack of options for superhero games. I'd love to play a game like Dungeon Defenders,Smite or a 3rd person RPG with that theme.
Ive played em all really. DCUO, CoH, Marvel Heroes, Champions Online, infinite crisis.

Naw. It's a step in the right direction though.
I've got a feevah, and the only prescription... is more cowbell.
Well i guess you can look up those CoH clones that are in the making and financially support them
http://cityoftitans.com/ is one and i think there was another one.. it might be dead tho.
This have been a good conversation
Of the ones I am most familiar with, they would be (in no particular order):
http://cityoftitans.com/
http://www.heroes-and-villains.com/phpb/home.php
https://valianceonline.wordpress.com/ (They had an old address at shogun.net but that isn't working.)
I believe I heard about another game but I can't remember what it was called or who was making it.

Right? I think the way a superhero MMO could be done in a way where they sort of give us numerous appearance options but make gear (that doesn't affect our appearance) the end game focus along with other activities like arenas, mini games, never-ending womb waves for rankings, etc. However, the end game items will give us more customization options without the need to actually change to that look if we don't like it.
Or they could use a similar approach as the above statement but make every character start off without a costume and make the real identity of the hero/villain the very first step of the game and as we progress we unlock numerous costume pieces.
