ArenaNet has revealed the next legend that will be associated with the new Revenant profession when the Guild Wars 2 expansion, Heart of Thorns, launches later this year. Ventari will become the first Guild Wars 2 profession that will utilize a staff as a melee weapon.
The Ventari will become the first Guild Wars 2 profession that will utilize a staff as a melee weapon that will be specifically focused on a combination of magical and martial styles. Ventari becomes a support profession that can heal allies and knock back enemies by standing within range.
Rejuvenating Assault - “Cleave foes around you with your staff, creating healing orbs for you and your allies.”
This skill is the third part of the autoattack chain. When you strike foes with this skill, shards of energy will fly off onto the ground around the target. You or your allies can walk over these for a small amount of healing. This encourages strafing around your target to pick up the orbs as you attack, and it creates more interaction between you and your allies. We wanted to promote healing through offense rather than as a passive effect.
The core of the Revenant's healing abilities comes in the form of the Ventari Tablet. Every skill will utilize the tablet in one way or another, thus requiring players to communicate and interact with allies.
Once the Legendary Centaur Stance is activated, the Tablet will be summoned that will bring the five legend-based skills onto the bar.

Try to be excellent to everyone you meet. You never know what someone else has seen or endured.

In PVP, isn't burst still king? The healing would have to be strong enough to counter the burst. Then you either have tank to hold a control point, or if you still want to play offensively your healing power can't gimp your own DPS so much that you can't kill the other player either.
In WvW this would have to compete with water eles and staff guards.
As far as I have read on the subject of dungeons in HoT expansion, they are not revamping or introducing any new dungeons in the expansion. They are strictly doing PvP, map, and class additions/revamps. I would like to see more into this content than what I have already seen (i.e. dungeons, new race, ext.), but E3 is coming up soon, maybe they will release more info on the subject then.
Its still not a healer, not even close
