Tera New Server 9th June

Living in Europe I am wondering where those new servers (TERA via Steam) are located? I've read somewhere they are located in the US? Is that correct? And if so: How bad is the lag? Anyone from Europe playing Tera via Steam?

No, I didn't mean Tera was a bad game. I just meant that there have been so many Asian mmos released that a few good ones come out of it. I occasionally go back to Aion, and I bought Tera but don't play it because of the community and the quest system. The game itself is beautiful, with ok combat. 

Yes you did, so own up. Just the fact that quite a few Asian mmos go international are proof of their success. How many NA even make it overseas?

Publishers can say whatever they hell they want, but I guarantee you that the new server is an attempt to promote microtransaction sales and not because of population.   There isn't a single recent thread here or in reddit stating there are high population issues.   In fact, you can head to reddit and see players giving advice to other players to transfer towards a larger populated server to improve their end game experience.  

 

Developers of microtransaction games don't open new servers to lower stress on the servers in older games.   They open them to entice players to spend more money.   The attraction of spending cash to be first/top of the server is appealing to whales.  

 

 

Really? you didn't see those OMG THERE IS A QUEUE NAO!!! threads? Maybe it's was because they were buried by all those "Hello, I'm new" ones...

And about those player transfers advice... You are referring transfering from EU to NA. Because you do know they are two completely different games right?

But I sense that whatever we can say, you still going to hate. So I won't waste my energy.

I have to disagree.  It has the worst instanced pvp i've ever seen. lol.

I mean, you have to fight giant monster babies in diapers... seriously, here's a picture.

The other pvp maps are pretty much PvE.  The only tolerable one is Corsair's Stronghold.

Kumasylum is not PVP, It's just pve with a twist. And it's being shut down in a few patches. And what "other" pvp maps are pve?  I don't ever pvp but even I know that's bs...

I came back to Tera and have noticed the que logs. The new server is a great idea since the game hit a 4.5 million player number. I dont know why the haters hit on games for intelligent moves to expand the player base. Sure its a semi freemium game but in all honesty they have to support it somehow.
