Influences for Overwatch

Okay, so let's take a long shot here and say that Blizzards standard method of operation is to pattern after a couple influential games, rework the concept, streamline it, and package it in a highly polished form for public consumption.

How about you game gurus take a stab at what are the influences for Overwatch?

I'm genuinely curious.  For real.  I game very little outside MMOs and a few casual tablet games.  Don't even own a console.

Ken Fisher - Semi retired old fart Network Administrator, now working in Network Security.  I don't Forum PVP.  If you feel I've attacked you, it was probably by accident.  When I don't understand, I ask.  Such is not intended as criticism.

The biggest influence is definitely Team Fortress 2.  Although Overwatch seems to have less restrictive characters.  Cant wait til I get to play this gem! Will definitely be playing "Tracer"!
