 I need to buy a good comp without exceeding 3 grand. I was thinking of.....

Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor 3.2GHz 800MHz FSB w/ 512KB Cache & HyperThreading 

1GB DDR SDRAM PC-3200 - 2 x 512MB Module

NVIDIA GeForce™ FX 5900 Ultra 256MB 8x AGP w/DVI & S-Video

Something along the lines of that, is it possible to not exceed the 3k limit? Oh, this is canadian money im talking about too.

    sounds pretty good that does, ive seen rigs along the lines of that on newegg for under 2000, except they used an amd 3200, which is like 200 bucks cheaper.

      That's the family computer, this ones gonna be MY computer, plus this computers gonna be the highest specs possible so it won't get out dated for another 3 months lol.

    He's talking about the best for the buck,  he doesn't want that setup. . .  (all though it would be nice)

    Plus you can get a pretty decent PC for $3000 CAN.  It's about $2200 USD (with current conversion).

    That's still more then enough money to get yourself a very fast PC... 1gig of RAM, ATI/Nvidia videocard,  very nice CPU, etc. . .  that's if he wants to build it himself.

    If he's not going to custom build his machine,  then the options start to go away. . .

     It's always different what american is worth to canadian. The canadian dollar is constantly going up and down, and one day when the canadian dollar raises to about 75 cents then that's when i start buying something american hehe.

    ...i reccomend first you take out 400 dollars for your os and monitor and other crap, then you take the 1.8kand buy extreme parts, and build it yourself!

    if not then pay someone 50 bucks to build it...
