My cat smells worse the my ferret.  Ferrets stink if you don't clean their litter boxes.  If you give them a bath every week because you think they stink,  they will stink even more.

Every time you give a ferret a bath,  their bodies have to reproduce oils in their fur (like otters).  If you keep washing it out,  they will work overtime in making that oil,  and they will smell.  If you feed them crap food (cat, dog and even GOOD kitten food) they will also stink.

I feed my ferrets nothing but Ultra Ferret Food.  :)  $20 a bag! 4.5 pounds.  It's worth it for my fuzzball.

“Tell us a story Grandpa!” cried little Rasuke, the child closest to their grandpa’s feet.<?XML:NAMESPACE PREFIX = O />

“I believe I’m plumb all out of stories.”  He thought for a moment.  “Say, why don’t I tell you sprouts the true story of how we used to be a republic and had something called a president.”

“Sounds boring,” Rasuke scoffed, “is there any fighting and killing in it Grandpa?”

“Oh, plenty of it.  Now, many, many years ago, our country was called the <?XML:NAMESPACE PREFIX = ST1 />United States of America .  It was a country where you could do all kinds of things without the aid of government.  Some people believed that the freedom they had wasn’t enough, and believed that they should have the right to do whatever they wanted, as long as they weren’t hurting other people.  They said that there should be no leaders who made sure we weren’t doing bad.  But we all knew that was bad, and thankfully we had a government where we could vote a person in to lead us and make sure our right to be free was protected.”

“Oh, I remember my teacher saying something like that at my school.  She told us all about those evil un-American people who hated the government.” Susie butted in.

“During the 20th century, the United States of America realized that unless our great and free country did something, then evil, bad people who did bad and naughty things would try to take over the world and would oppress people.  The American people knew that our forefathers were very wrong when they told us to stay out of foreign affairs, but they also knew we should mold and change values and withhold certain rights that people weren’t using anyways to make sure bad people couldn’t take over our country.  So after we got rid of mean old Hitler in the Second World War, with the help of Uncle Joe Stalin, we set out to make sure Uncle Joe, who was evil now, couldn’t take his Soviet Union full of evil communists, and spread his evil around the world, past Eastern Europe and East Germany that we gave to Stalin as a gift for helping us.”

“Grandpa, but why was Uncle Joe given those places?  If he was evil, then we shouldn’t have given them to him,” Asked William.

“Well William, Uncle Joe was the lesser evil, we needed him to help stop Hitler who was mass exterminating people.  We gave them to Joe to keep him happy for the time being, and then we were going to free those places when Uncle Joe had his pants down.  Thus the Cold War started.  Many men died in places like Korea and Vietnam , but for the great cause of democracy.  But we had to believe in our government, we had to trust them, they knew what was right.  And even if Korea was a draw, and we lost Vietnam , the mean old Soviet Union finally fell, about 50 years after WWII.  It took great vigilance, but we won the conflict.”

“And then what happened Grandpa?” asked Mary.

“We went through a decade without much going on, except for a war against Iraq that we had to fight because Saddam Hussein was a bad, naughty man who had decided that because we supported him, that meant he could do whatever he wanted, like invade Kuwait since our diplomat told him that it might be a fine idea.  But then our president at the time, George Bush I, forcefully made Saddam leave and we saved our friend Kuwait .  And then there were the conflicts in the Balkans that we helped in, and then there were all those little third-world countries that we had to bomb because they were probably supporting terrorism or just being bad people.  And then, my grandchildren, in what was once called the year 2000 A.D. but what we now call 1 A.R., meaning After Republic, a great man rose to power and was elected president.  His name was George Bush II, the son of the same man who put that evil Saddam back in his place in the First Gulf War.”

There was an excitement of murmuring between the children as they all chattered in whispers about the man that they had learned so much about.

“During Bush’s presidency, there was the most horrible tragedy in the history of the world.  Bad men from an Arab terrorist organization crashed planes into our buildings, because they hated us for our freedom.  Mr. Bush responded by liberating Afghanistan , the country where the terrorists ruled and mistreated its people.  But Mr. Bush knew that wasn’t enough, he knew that the world couldn’t be safe and that freedom could be protected until all the bad men were removed.  He started with Saddam, who we knew had weapons of mass destruction because Mr. Bush told us and he didn’t show the documents to make sure our traitorous allies and un-patriotic citizens couldn’t twist his evidence around.  We told governments in North Korea and Iran to watch out, because they’re evil terrorist nations that would be taken down.  And thus, America set out to liberate the oppressed Iraqi people.  It was a tough fight, many brave American soldiers died with all the internal fighting between Sunnis and Shiites, Kurds and Turks, and many other factions and groups who had some old scores to settle, but after many years of vigilance, we democratized the country.  We also worked with our best friend Israel to make sure that the country of Israel wasn’t threatened by evil Palestinians, Iranians, Lebanese, Syrians, and all those evil anti-Semitic Arabs who wanted to see the very free, very democratic Israel be destroyed.”

Wow, gasped the children all in unison.

“But then we were plunged into the dark times.  North Korea launched nuclear weapons and other missiles at Japan and South Korea because they were getting sick of America helping the countries of the world.  And so we destroyed North Korea .  And then conflicts got worse with India and Pakistan , and we subdued those too.  And then much of the Middle East erupted, and Israel responded with nuclear weapons.  And then more people who hated us for being free attacked our country.  It was at this time that our glorious leader, George Bush II, knew that the only chance of survival was to suspend presidential elections; only he was the man to save the world.  He also told us that our freedom is so precious that it needs to be locked away for a little while; to make sure the bad men can’t hurt us anymore.  And so, for many years, up until his death, our great leader George Bush II, looked out for us.  He transformed the United States of America into the World Peacekeeping State of America , crowned himself the first American World Peacekeeper, and protected the interests, lives, and freedoms of America .  And now, we have his successor, the second American World Peacekeeper, looking out for us.  Much of the world is in turmoil.  Many countries have been nuked and destroyed, and we are always at war.  But this is the price we have to pay.  Many American lives were lost, but they had to be lost, it was for the good of the world, the people, and the nation.  Freedoms needed to be suspended; we needed to reinstate the draft.  It was the only way we could win against the naysayers, the unpatriotic un-Americans, and the radical commie leftist pinkos.  Only government had the ability to make our world a better place.  Now aren’t you proud to be an American?”

All the children nodded in unison.

“Grandpa, did you ever fight in one of our many wars?” asked little Johnny.

“Why no Johnny,” he smiled as he looked at the large painting of George Bush hanging above them, “I got exempt from fighting by George Bush himself, who appointed me head of the Tracking Homegrown Opposition Un-patriotic Godless Hateful Terrorists Police.  Or T.H.O.U.G.H.T. Police for short.”

    Here's another story.

When I was 12 years old, I am now 22; my friend, "Jane" and I were obsessed with the Ouija board. We would play it constantly, as it worked so well for us! Well, one night Jane slept over my house, we were up playing with the Ouija board most of the evening and decided to go to bed.

Now, before I go any further with this story, I will describe the layout of my room at the time. My bed was next to a wall with the wall on the right side of the bed, in between the wall and the bed, there was about a one foot space and there was an old ice cream bucket with an empty fish bowl with some marbles and an air pump in it sitting on the floor in that space between my bed and the wall. The bucket was toward the foot of the bed. Anyway, that's all you really need to know as far as the layout of my room goes.

Back to the story, so we had decided to go to bed and we were lying there talking a little and trying to sleep, when that old ice cream bucket started shaking. We could not see it as the lights were out, but it was quite loud. There was no way either of us could have been doing it as it was just physically impossible for either one of us to reach it and we were so scared that we were holding onto each other for dear life. There was no one else in the house except for my mom and step-dad who were sleeping in the next room. Anyway, when the bucket would shake, it would do so on and off with a few minutes in between and when it was shaking, it would get louder and louder; it was shaking quite violently. In fact, it was so loud that it woke up my mom and she came into my room to scold us and said that if we didn't stop making all that noise that my friend was going to have to leave.

Of course when she walked into my room, the shaking stopped and we tried to tell her what was happening but she did not believe us. So after she left, I said, "whatever it is that is doing that, please stop"! The bucket gave one more loud, violent rattle for about 5 seconds and then just stopped. I don't know if we conjured up something from the Ouija or if it was telekinesis, as we were at the prime age for it... all I know is it happened.

The next day, we asked the Ouija what it was that was causing the bucket to shake like that and it just spelled out that it was "too scary to tell."

Who knows what it was, but I feel lucky to have experienced it. I've had some other occurrences as well, perhaps I'll write about them at a later date.

Welcome to MMORPG.com! hehe, i gotta say that everytime some1 says something like that.

"This is the beginning of a new day. You have been given this day to use as you will. You can waste it or use it for good. What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it. When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever; in its place is something that you have left behind...let it be something good."
