When a thread has new posts, the small notice says (for example) "5 new plural". I'm assuming that's meant to say "posts"... the plural form of "post".
EDIT: Refreshed the page, and now it just says "5 new" ...that works, I suppose.
We're doing some work with Vanilla to get the comments and stuff working right there. Should be fixed in the next day or two.
The code fixes go up tomorrow. The quoting and @username tagging should be fixed up in the article and news comments. /fingerscrossed
I take it this did not work as intended? It is now 5 days later and my site looks... minimalistic? No background. No art. It feels like I am on a cell phone friendly webpage. Or is this just my PC?
[EDIT] the "mmorpg.com" page loads fine. It is when I go into "forums.mmorpg.com" that things get weird.
New forums are live (duh!). Please post any issues or bugs you find here!
Bug I saw (even though I just joined haha) is that when uploading a picture the loading icon appears and has a bar to scroll up and down it and there is also a giant white space above it until it uploads. @mikeb
Intentional for the MOMENT. We're doing some work with Vanilla to get the comments and stuff working right there. Should be fixed in the next day or two.
Because of CFM (our current site architecture), we have to have news posts (which tie to forum threads), and feature/review posts that don't. We're looking to find a nice way to import comments from the news posts into the feature/review posts. Vanilla is working on it with us.
Sounds great, can't wait to see full functionality again. The new forums look great, are much more responsive and most importantly, still a nice, easy to read, dark theme.
Have an issue that is frustrating me right now. Not sure if it's a known or not. I have forgotten what email address I had used for my original account, so I had made a new one which is the one im using now. However, I remembered my old email address and got my old account back. The old account is "Zubei". When attempting to log in to it on the forums, it logs me in on the "Zubei" account, but then it reverts back to "Zubeii" no matter how many times I log out and in. I tried clearing all of my temp files, which actually screwed me over because there are some sites I could not remember passwords for.
How do I go about using my "Zubei" account for the forums without it reverting back to "Zubeii"?
Zubei was created in 2003 while Zubeii was created in 2007. I would like to use the 2003 account on the forums.

Yeah I have had the same issue with my nick BigM and it was connected with either comcast or wideopenwest email and have never been able to get it back. But on the good side it taught me never to use a cable companies emails again.
I'm tempted to Delete "Zubeii" and see if that works but then I would be sad if I lost a 2007 account and was unable to use the 2003 account on the forums and be forced to create a brand new account.
I am able to log in to both accounts fine now. It's just when I log in to "Zubei" it auto reverts back to "Zubeii" when going to the forums for some reason.

So if you fully clear your cache and cookies and login at http://www.mmorpg.com as Zubei and then click the forums tab on the main page it will switch you to Zubeii over here? Can you confirm that for me?
I am. Just attempted to clear my cache/cookies again on Chrome. Went to log in with Zubei, which logs in fine. Once I click on forums tab, im logged in as "Zubeii". If I log out Zubeii on the forums area, it brings me back to the main mmorpg.com site to log back in.
When I got my old account back, the email was my old hotmail.com address. I wanted to change it to my current email address. In order to do that, I had to change "Zubeii" to a different email address, go to that email and register it. Then went into "Zubei" and changed the email to my current email address and then go to my email and register that.
However for some reason, the email for "Zubeii" is still the current email address in the forums section but is not in the main site and when I attempt to change it on the forums profile, it reverts back to the email address I have for "Zubei"
Really strange stuff. Here is a few screenshots of me logging in to "Zubei" then having "Zubeii" be my username on the forums.
Edit: So I logged in to "Zubeii" and went to the forums, which still has me in as "Zubeii". When I to the edit profile area, the email address I changed it to is actually that email address. However, when I log in to "Zubei" and go to the forums section the username is still changed to "Zubeii" and in the edit profile area, it uses the email I have for "Zubei"
As I read what im typing, this all sounds confusing. Ha.
I enable Javascript to log-in on the site's front page. Then, I have to turn it OFF and click RELOAD to get the Forums page to load.
If I'm browsing the Games List, click on a game title, then click on that game's forum, that game's forum never loads because the server just stops sending data (checked many times using Activity Monitor).

Lately, I've been having strange issues only with this site. I'll hit the "Recent Discussion" button, and instead of simply reloading, the site will hang for a few seconds. Sometimes, it will stop on a "Page is having issues" splash page before finally loading the forums. Other times I've been told for 5-10 minutes at a time that the page is unavailable, which it isn't because when I get back, I see that people have been posting during that time.
I've cleaned all of my cookies and cache, which I do on daily basis anyhow, but to no avail.
I might have mentioned this before, and if I do, I apologize for the duplicate post.
Is there a way you can tag or label posts in the recent discussion view to indicate what some of these forums threads are referring to?
I am specifically mentioning posts such as the screenshot attached. Looking at this through the recent discussion dashboard, I have absolutely no clue what game this is talking about.
I find that if the forum title gives no indication what game the OP is referring to and if subsequently placed iin a generalized subforum, you are holding the user ransom for that click. It's a big deterrent on mobile when there are data caps. A simple tag like "Overwatch" would have done wonders and informed me of what the OP was about without forcing me to have to actually open the thread.

There's nothing more gratifying than playing an MMO for free.

For example if I view DMKano's profile my name is displayed in purple

2) forums.mmorpg.com.
Make sure you use the correct password if they are different.

I'm new here and I have a question. Where can I trade some codes (Armored Warefare, premium time) for some other stuff?
