"it was fuzzy" means you fucked up. It is just annoying when you hear silly childish language used to disguise incompetence. Just say "we fucked up, sorry" People appreciate straight talk rather than bullshit.
Are you talking about the avatars? It was an error on Vanilla's side, but I wouldn't call it a "fuck up". More of a "whoopsie daisie". But that's just me. @Skywisenight can explain more.

Well, tbh I was more releasing the days aggro than having a go, but I ended up having a go. Was trying to post and got a silly arse response "it was fussy" that just made me grit my teeth.
I thought fuzzy described the situation perfectly. That was what users saw and reported. I code for a living and it's better to re-use words someone recognizes than obscure or detailed things they might not. It was a short message too, those bootstrap style messages can get annoying so best to use the least amount of words. "Someone effed up " is longer than "fuzzy" so fuzzy prevails :glasses:
...It was more of a description of what occurred than being cute. I don't even see how the word "fuzzy" is cute as it an actual word as opposed to a culture meme or internet slang. Would it really be that different of a message if they replaced fuzzy with blurry? Or if they changed the polite "please re-upload" to "We screwed up, try again"?
I mean, I understand releasing the day's angst and all that, but I'm not sure how one came to this assertion. Seems like a perfectly fine system announcement to those who had such problems as opposed to them just saying "We fixed a screw up." Which would be followed by people saying, what screw up? Then a description. The "Fuzzy Avatars".
Due to frequent travel in my youth, English isn't something I consider my primary language (and thus I obtained quirky ways of writing). German and French were always easier for me despite my family being U.S. citizens for over a century. Spanish I learned as a requirement in school, Japanese and Korean I acquired for my youthful desire of anime and gaming (and also work now). I only debate in English to help me work with it (and limit things). In addition, I'm not smart enough to remain fluent in everything and typically need exposure to get in the groove of things again if I haven't heard it in a while. If you understand Mandarin, I know a little, but it has actually been a challenge and could use some help.
Also, I thoroughly enjoy debates and have accounts on over a dozen sites for this. If you wish to engage in such, please put effort in a post and provide sources -- I will then do the same with what I already wrote (if I didn't) as well as with my responses to your own. Expanding my information on a subject makes my stance either change or strengthen the next time I speak of it or write a thesis. Allow me to thank you sincerely for your time.

Should I click "insightful"?
Well I gave you an insightful, but not for the reasons you might suppose. Seriously an error was made, no reason to inject so much emotion into a simple mistake. Good thing its Friday, you could use some relaxation time.

mmorpg.com is taking money for their new forums with ads so its released and should be judged as such. These bugs are not acceptable with a released product. See what I did there @Billmurphy l? lol
The above. Look you can get as arsey about it as you want, but these changes are designed to keep people here working towards meaningless achievements so that they can be advertised to in the process. People are too pleasant about this. While I think the individuals involved in mmorpg.com are pleasant individuals, I can separate that from the revenue earning horseshit they have to work within.
"it was fuzzy" means you fucked up. It is just annoying when you hear silly childish language used to disguise incompetence. Just say "we fucked up, sorry" People appreciate straight talk rather than bullshit.
WTH? Avatars were fuzzy... as in blurry, IE "difficult to perceive clearly or understand and explain precisely; indistinct or vague.
"the picture is very fuzzy"
How is that childish language, not to mention...how in anyway does it warrant such an outburst?

I think the problem with a certain game you refering to didn't get fixed within days after it started to earn money and that takes away your point. When you change things there will always be some crap, that is a huge difference from charging long term for something you know it will take years to fix up. Few of us cry if our game is messy just after a major patch, but we expect it to be fixed as soon as possible. Same goes for forums.

Loke666 when he turns up, beard and all, is always measured, sensible, and bearded. I think that he would be the most objectionable shit were he ever to lose that beard.
