How to get new heroes,costumes,team ups and pets for new players

It is totally normal to look into the choices of hero this game offered and want to play em all ! 
New players will probably be wondering how to get new heroes and costumes (aside from paying with Gs in the cash shop) ..

In the old days,heroes do drop .. They still do drop but limited to events like anniversary event,CMM or Limbo ..
So we have to farm for splinters nowadays:


New players usually get a limited amount of splinters for free which they can use to buy heroes ..
U just have to play the game and 1 splinter will drop approximately every 8 minutes .. You will hear a "ding" sound and there will be an icon indicator to indicate you to pick them up .. U can pick them up faster by raising your Special Item Find through boosts or events ..




Check your Special Item Find (which is also helpful to drop costumes or boss specific artifacts) in your character stats :
 
Heroes generally cost 400 splinters , but you do have 200 splinters heroes like X23,Scarlet Witch,Daredevil,Thing,Storm,Hawkeye or 600 splinters heroes which have unique visual designs (more effort put in by Devs) like Spidey,Rogue,Iron Man,Ghost Rider,Deadpool and Doom ..

For new players,its better off buying random hero box for 175 splinters from Adam Warlock ..
  

Note: U may get a duplicate if u choose to randomise your hero. The duplicate token can be used to upgrade the ultimate power for that particular hero. Thus no harm randoming if u have a small roster.
Otherwise,u can look for free hero codes given out from time to time . Gaz also gave players to choose any hero they want during 2nd anniversary.

For costume,they do drop like 

But note:it is very rare nowadays to drop costume.
Thus,you can get them from Fortune card (again,extremely low rate) like this


Otherwise,u can try to get costume from costume blender .. U must level ur crafter to level 20 and blend 3 costumes in exchange for one :
 Note:again the blender may give duplicate costume so proceed at your own risk and pray to RNG Gods !!!
Who knows u might be lucky to get an enhanced costume which enables the hero to have unique character line as well as unique visuals ..

U may also want to get team up for your hero .. Farming splinters may be a pain for team ups but i assure u its very rewarding to have a team up .. U can summon them out or use them as passives .. Unfortunately there is no a random team up box yet .. 
U can get Groot team up for 200 splinters   


Also,X Force Wolverine is available for day 200 login 


They also have Agent Coulson team up which can be redeemed using Omega Access File..


Alternatively,u can also can get team up from Fortune cards 


Fortune cards are given out sometimes from event where you complete the Industry Patrol quest and Stan Lee will award you a random fortune card.
Gazillion did give out free team ups during events like Holiday Groot team up or Iron Man mk 2 team up .. So also keep an eye for it !

Some may be able to summon out they pets but take note:pets do not fight for u .. Its merely for cosmetic purpose .. U can feed them with gears and they will add to your stats like +3 strength or fighting but thats it .. The pets are to be differentiated from team ups .. Both are different ..
There is a spider ham pet 

U can get pets through fortune cards,buying them from clea upon prestige with credits,exchanging using splinters as well as buying the sentry pet from GLIF with credits ..
