Regional Log In Issues Being Tracked, No IP Block Planned | Black Desert | MMORPG.com

GameNet community managers have taken to the Russian Black Desert Online forums to let users know that the team is aware of an issue where international players are unable to log into the game. The team is aware of the issue and has said that IP blocks are not in place and that the technical team is working to solve the issue.

I don't know...I have a feeling that this game is going to piss off a lot more people like archeage did.

idk about it causing the same controversy as AA,i guess it would depend mostly on the business model,the cash shop.

I look first at what a game does and to me it does only  basic things,one of which is not a very good idea.

You can climb and i see people using this to reach the highest peaks and just hangout out,not really much of a gaming experience but people do that in real life too so i guess it is a good idea for the game.

The other is auto way point moving,this idea i don't like it takes away the realism and immersion.I cannot stand ANY automation in my games.

A lot of the gameplay imo goes to far,like o/p aoe's as well as constant mutliple enemy battles and making them look easy.Sorry but if one person was fighting 5/6/7/8 you would LOSE,plain and simple  and NOT make it look easy.

Also the character sounds are god awful,it is like every Asian game downloads the same 2-3 voices/grunts from other games and copies them into their games.

Yep, have to agree. Most Asian games that come out tend to do that.

Also, doubtful that the English patch will translate properly (so far not seen one that does) even when released for English versions. So i would not hold ones breath.

How about asking them why the gamenet launcher installs hidden malware onto our systems. Once they explain why it installs THorn then maybe I will give a shit again.

Interestingly, you can disable the Gamenet Thorn & ThornHelper

Open windows search (Windows Key + S)
Type in "cmd"
Right click the search result (Command Prompt) and select "Run as Administrator"
Type this and hit enter:
cd %LOCALAPPDATA%\THORN && thorn.exe -c 20 && thorn.exe -u

Out of curiosity what does Thorn do? I've heard it called Malware quite a few times, but no one so far has said what it does.

I can't wait to play this. Even if they do everything Trion did wrong with AA, it'll still look 100x better and still won't have shitty tab target combat, but instead action combat. I can deal with that, unlike AA. Waiting for a Western alpha/beta though.
