Friday the 13th: The Game will be an asymmetrical horror multiplayer game co-developed by Gun Media and Illfonic Games. One player will be the killer Jason Vorhees and seven players will play as his camp counselor victims. The victims will either flee in horror or pursue the epic difficult achievement of defeating Jason through smart co-operation. After each match the game will create a video trailer with the most thrilling moments. Players will also be able to unlock more camp counselors and different versions of Jason. A Kickstarter campaign to reach a minimum goal of $700,000 was launched on October 13.
In other news, as their work on Star Citizen has come to a finish this week, Illfonic have also revealed another game. Together with Psyop Games they are co-developing Moving Hazard, a multiplayer game where a team of players must manipulate AI behavior of zombies and use them as pawns against an enemy team. The game has been in production for a year and is scheduled for release in 2016.

"Be water my friend" - Bruce Lee
It's a fantastic idea, but also very difficult to implement in a way that would be fun for the 7 people playing as counselors. I'll be watching this project, but definitely won't back this up before they've got a playable demo that's fun to play.

What we will probably see is players spawn with no weapons, Jason spawns with his machete. Seven weapons spawn in random locations around the set. They could go all together from one possible weapon location to another. But this is slow, Jason will possibly be out to acquire these same weapons thereby denying them to the players.
Camps are not massive open worlds, there is a central lake maybe half a mile wide or much less. There are Bunk rooms where campers sleep, might be able to find furniture that can be broken into Clubs, Spears, or Torches. There is a Chow Hall / Kitchen, this will be a source of Knives, Fire, and Food. A Nurse's Office, where they can find Alcohol, Bandages, Knives, Medicine, and Scissors. Camp Director office, here they should be able to find a Radio, Alcohol / Gasoline, Flashlights, Matches / Lighters, and Keys to unlock other buildings. Groundskeeper shead, here you find the uber weapons locked up, Machetes, Lawnmower blades, Chainsaws, Two-handed Pruning Shears, Sledgehammers, Gasoline, Matches / Lighters, and Axes. Craft / Activities Building here you want to find Bows and Arrows, may be .22 Rifles, tools for cutting and shaping leather pieces.
There are probably more buildings I could list. When I went to camp, campers had to take an axe safety class to get certified to use one. The camp had 5 axes out per class of 15 boys. Once a week a local FBI agent lead our gun safety and marksmanship classes. Our camp had 5 Revolvers and 5 Rifles All .22LR. Switching the arrows from Field Points to Broadheads would take some time.
So the order of game play as I see it: Axes, Sledgehammers, Bows and Arrows (Possibly Guns), Gasoline and Matches. The night before the obstacle course, we jumped into the empty water pit. We had a hard time climbing out, it was over 6 feet deep.
This game is possible, but it may become repetitive. I can see the camp layout changing. Location of locker keys changing. Maybe the location and quantity of weapons. But people will learn or share the basic strategy. Soon it will be a game of "Let's Hunt Jason."
Boy: Why can't I talk to Him?
Mom: We don't talk to Priests.
As if it could exist, without being payed for.
F2P means you get what you paid for. Pay nothing, get nothing.
Even telemarketers wouldn't think that.
It costs money to play. Therefore P2W.

I agree with you @Konfess, it could become tedious, which is why I generally wait to see what type of reviews arise before I purchase a game such as this.
I hope it lives up to expectations!
