Not into mmorpg's anymore, the past years have been so discouraging that I don't have much faith in them, I come here to see if the savior has shown up yet, next up Camelot Unchained.
I agree with you. The MMORPG genre is dead mostly. I'm still waiting on a good MMORPG to come out.

the genre is bigger, than ever, there are just so many new (smaller) games to spread the population

remember the "old" days?? maybe a dozen MMOs on the market?

my next BIG hope is star citizen

currently switching between DCUO, STO and WS myself

I have purchased, but a huge mistake, game is great but I just like some kind of motivation to play it and after an hour or so. I just get bored... Even thou game mechanics arent that bad and graphic is charming and story is well written this game just lack something deep and challenging

I purchased it and enjoyed it for the most part. In the first month or so it was easy to get a taxi through HoT maps. My hours of play are not at peak hours. So now I am rarely able to do anything on the maps.
Time you enjoy wasting...is not wasted time

I'm definitely considering buying the expansion. I loved the vanilla GW2 until I ran out of content and burned out on Fractal spam all day, but now that they have raiding... I'll have to really think about it. People tell me that the raids are fun, and aren't braindead easy like most of the game is, so that's really appealing to me!

80% likely to buy it. ^^

I've never managed to make it past level 30 or so, so probably not. It's just a boring game with no sense of structure to the world, just random stuff popping up everywhere like clockwork. It feels less like a world than Azeroth or Eorzea, and an even lesser sense of permanency.

"Oh, you missed the gnoll attack? Don't worry, they'll do it again in five minutes."

At least with regular quests the things you fix stay fixed.

AN' DERE AIN'T NO SUCH FING AS ENUFF DAKKA, YA GROT! Enuff'z more than ya got an' less than too much an' there ain't no such fing as too much dakka. Say dere is, and me Squiggoff'z eatin' tonight!

We are born of the blood. Made men by the blood. Undone by the blood. Our eyes are yet to open. FEAR THE OLD BLOOD.

other mmos are way more static, than GW2

if players arent around to help NPCs , they will get overrun and killed by mobs

yes, they respawn on a timer, just like every other mmo..would you like to wait for

    hours, for a fresh respawn?

if players could "fix" anything in the world, what should the following players do?

    play another game?

50.00 is too steep for an expansion.
That's why I will not buy HoT before it gets discounted. And I absolutely dislike the fact that existing players pay the same for the expansion as new players for the core game + expansion.

First of all: the base game is free and have been so for 9 months. If you buy the expansion you will get a few more character slots and a bit more bagspace but that is it.

    Secondly: stop necroposting.

I have indeed. I played it, finished story and such.

For the full game price i paid at release, i wouldn't say it's worth the value as content-wise comparing to other MMO expansions as WoW, it's quite lacking.
