It seems to me like a top 3 MMO, Guild Wars 2 and FFXIV being the other 2 depending on your preference. MassivelyOP has dedicated a few topics to LotRO past 2 or so weeks and now MMORPG.com? Nice to see this incredibly underrated game get the attention it deserves.
Though I must admit my experience with customer services has been excellent up until 2-3 months ago when all of a sudden my PayPal no longer works with Turbine. Neither does any of the 6 or 7 credit cards I tried. Contacting support results in a simple referral to the FAQ which doesn't help me one bit and posting on the account support subforum or generel discussion forum results in *crickets*. Really abysmal account page! If you check the forum, you'll see loads of people unable to either sub or cancel subs and you'll have to search long and hard to find a single official reply and even longer and harder to find a useful one.
Edit: and why is my text format not being copied?
Just curious, I know this has been a beat horse issue, so to speak, but have they added a new zone for pvp? I have been out of touch for a while, so please forgive me if this is a dumb question.

There's been a bit of a surge of coverage of the game lately. I do think people underestimate its popularity, partly because of its age and that it has/had far too many servers.
If only WB would push a bit more cash into the game, but it was clear a long time ago they have absolutely no interest in the MMO market any more.
