Why does the disclaimer say "if" the servers are wiped after beta instead of "when"?

I dont think I will be buying into Early Access / Beta / Alpha / pre-Alpha / etc. anymore.
I am not a big fan of this business practice.
actually this business practice is ALOT Better than having (for example) EA up your ass, eg a big publisher who tells you when you have to release what.

Ive been waiting some time for Albion already. The ability to play it under nearly all OS's makes it heavy attractive. If its as good as the new Devilian, it has a chance to make me spend time into it My money went to ArcheAge and StarCitizen this year, so ill gladly wait until its released.
No. Im happy to test games. I actually find it fun to look for bugs and report them. Im not going to pay someone to help him finish his product though.
Paying to beta a game that will be free to play... Scary stuff.
Not really. $30 is a drop in the bucket compared to some game purchases, and there is still no guarantee if you're going to like them or not. How many perorders do people get involved in just because of promotional items only to find they didn't like the game to begin with? Age of Conan was a buy + sub game and I preordered and paid more just so I could get a damn rhino.

Having a paid beta allows developers to get the testers they need (most are not there for testing) and gives them more money to finish development. The only time I get angry is when I'm paying a monthly sub for a "finished" game that is obviously still in alpha or beta state.
At least they're not releasing it unfinished (yet).

Must be talking about ESOTU, they are finally fixing a lot of those beta bugs. But I do agree 100%, developers are taking advantage of us gamer's by having us test the game after release.

There aren't invites. Anyone who has a founder pack can play.
