Another poll about removing AoE caps and 80% says yes to remove them. Like usual we have no response from ZOS.

Nice, I like short retorts that demonstrate the idiocy of peoples supposedly "clever" responses.

I have been playing ESO from the start and LAG is the issue that keeps me from pvp. However, your DRAMA QUEEN statement saying most major guilds have left the game, that is not helping as it is completely wrong ;)

I have played PVP in most games since my first try in 1985, text based MUD pvp. The pvp in ESO is a bit rubbish imho. I have seen so many exploits, OP skills and ZERGING...well, that lot is more than enough to keep me from enjoying pvp in ESO. The trouble with ESO is the same trouble all MMORPGS have, absolutely terrible design decisions.

Keep PVP & PVE skills separate. If you do that, you can balance one section and not tick off the playerbase of the other.

actually most people didnt bother sticking around for the lag in the pvp community the gross imbalance of skills and classes is what caused people to quit a long time ago. When a group of a couple of over powered players using exploit builds can take out full warband amounts of players over and over farming them something is wrong. Matt Frior seriously is an idiot who shouldnt ever say he was important on DAOC when in reality by ESO alone he shows daily what an inapt retard he really is.

The sooner you people move away from thinking ESO=My pvp/moba dream the better off you all will be... this is about unreasonable expectations.

Yes AOE Caps must go, but at least the devs are explaining to those who listen what the difficulties are in tackling the lag/latency issues in high density high VR/CP areas.

But, we are talking about an Elder Scrolls game, an IP based on single player questing, story, lore, collecting and character development. Unless I completely missed all the pvp stuff in Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim.

You "hard core" pvp'ers think you own the mmorpg genre. It's becoming cliche at this point.
Agreed so hard the tag wasn't enough!

actually he is wrong . They advertised and sold this game as a realm vs realm game and bragged about working on DAOC. So why should these players be alienated as a community when the devs bragged about their realm vs realm system? So they advertise it and the pvp crowd because they are a cliche should not have the same standards set for their entertainment from the company who sold them on the idea of eso pvp?

I play both aspects of games , but some of you pve crowd here sound like little babies crying because you died in pvp.

Like you, I play and enjoy both aspects. But you can't deny that even as the game was announced and the DAoC-style RVR was revealed there was a huge backlash from the PVE-only crowd. There is nothing new in that.

And frankly, the PVP uptake was overestimated with many more campaigns planned than what eventually became the need. Like it or not, those of us who enjoy the RVR are a minority in what has become the 2-years post release population.

And yes, as the server-side anti-exploit security got heftier the game performance in PVP has gotten worse. It's no coincidence that Cyrodiil was more stable and could handle larger populations at release than they can now. We have our hacker weenie buddies to thank for most of that.

Yea this prediction took place about 5 months ago and well.... I guess he was wrong because it doesn't look dead to me.
Are you onto something or just on something?

Drama, drama, drama.  Yes there is tons of lag and at certain times of day it sucks badly to do any PvP when lag is rearing its head.  But there are plenty of other times of day where I can jump into a campaign and find plenty of friends and group up and have fun and I'm not getting ridiculous lag spikes.

PvP is far from perfect, but it's still fun on the NA PC megaserver for those hours that aren't prime time.

Unless PvP is the only reason you play this game none of that matters lol.  Camelot Unchained and Crowfall are going to be PvP focused games from the ground up, even if there was no lag there would be a mass exodus when those games release.

Your name is ESO_LAG and you only have around 50 posts... this makes me wonder if you just want to complain about ESO. If you are not here to play the game than you could be hurting it for others who are.

That being said, I am not a fan of ESO . .. and I have honestly no real fond memories of playing that game. I've played dozens of MMORPGs.. and I remember good times being had with most of them but all I remember from this one is mostly talking to NPCs.. I tried to PVP and group with others while I would PVE but still would end up feeling like solo-play was being forced onto me.

I play MMORPGs to play with people (for the most part) but this one just made me wonder why I was not simply playing Skyrim because that game is wayyy better than ESO PVE. Its sad that I feel this way because there is nothing that they can do to fix it. I feel like ESO has too much content almost.. too much storyline when I want to play with others. I would rather there be no storyline and just have to grind mobs with other people honestly. Instead I have to either make people wait for me while I talk to NPCs or I am waiting for other people who are talking to NPCs..

I feel like maybe the end game is not like this but why do I have to talk to so many damn NPCs to get there???

I quit but may come back to it someday. I don't really like to see people complain about a game in forums though... and don't understand why so many people continuously do it. Some people enjoy the game and want to get excited about it when they go to forums but yeah... so much whining out there its disheartening.

Do you have anything good to say about the game? Or any game?

If they had noob PVP from the beginning they may have kept my interest.. but seriously I would rather group with people and grind monsters than talk to a bunch of NPCs. If I just run from place to place without talking to NPCs I start to feel like its a crime from ignoring so much storyline.

Elder Scrolls games are very cool though. All of them.. that being said, they have so much content that I do not have time to experience it all... so I am forced to have to choose how I spend my time with them. I wasn't even finished enjoying Morrowind.. and still want to play that.. then theres Oblivion.. and then Skyrim... damn thats tons of immersion with the most PVE that could possible be had probably.. I just do not think that this type of play belongs in an MMORPG though.

simply put, I quit because this game does not seem to be a PVP game or even a group oriented game and would rather play Skyrim PVE over what ESO has to offer.

I came to this game for the RvR pvp, but that really is mostly a zergfest and thus a snoozefest for me. I still pve once in a while for story and because it's Tamriel and ES.

    Still waiting for arena pvp.

if the loss of the "pvp community" was the death of ESO then it would be dead already. Sure they are trying to fix it but its not as simple as most of the people who complain about it think it is. They can not simply add more servers and the lag would be gone. There are countless factors in to the cause of lag, from optimization, partical effect, rendering and even the players computer.

I have seen some beastly computers droped to their knees on other mmos due to the chaos on screen. As for the bugs, yes they are annoying..as hell but honestly name one mmo that is bug free. ESO is more about story and pve then it is about pvp. if the pve community was the one to leave then yes this game would be limping. but honestly they keep adding more stuff for us to do (though some times minor.) I have nothing agaisnt those who focus on pvp, by all means its how you enjoy the game. What i dislike are those who think a game will die because it does not have pvp or the pvp is lacking.

If they had arena PVP that didn't have a huge PVE grind necessary I would play again immediately.

PvE has lag all the time now in trials, dungeons, and solo vMA instances!

Only time i get lag in PvE is when i first load in to a busy map. or people are going insane with skills in town. other then that there is no lag for me. But your username kind of tells me all i need to know about ya, "eso_lag" lol
