Is this game pay to win?

Just wondering if anyone knows enough about this game's economy and upgrading.  Will I need to purchase gems to prevent items from exploding when I try to upgrade them?  Will they be selling items in such a way it harms the economy and makes pay to win necessary?

https://www.reddit.com/r/bladeandsoul/comments/3ptn2l/is_this_game_pay_to_win/ especially the keys to avoid rng/grind and the required crafting materials (not entirely sure if those will be in the shop at release as well reports are conflicting about that) are pretty bad you can ofc buy this stuff with the free currency but it takes a while and you need to do some grinding for it.
They also allow directly trading gold between players for real money via NC coin in the currency exchange system that can be used in Dungeons via the auction system to buy Gear.

There is also the sub with the tiered bullshit and you get more gold and so on with higher tiers which also gives you an edge in auctions in short for a f2p game it's pretty bad, not exactly arch age lvl of bad but  it has the potential to get worse.
Note that this only affects pve since pvp has fixed stats but pve is as p2w as it get's without  straight out selling gear in the shop but then pve is as easy as it get's and you will probably swim in gold anyway at higher lvls since you get a lot from quests auctions and so on even as a free player so it's not as bad as it first seems.
The only thing that really pisses me of is that free players don't get access to the Wardrobe (Inventory space is scarce and Collecting costumes is an enormous endgame drive) and only get 2 character slots

I would have preferred to avoid this shit with a real sub or b2p but that doesn't seem to be an option these days, i will still play it ofc since it doesn't really matter to me if someone get's their shit a bit faster then me in pve.

PVE can be p2w yes aka pay to progress faster. But tell me any mmos that can't be P2W in PVE as all the ones i played can very much do the same. (GW2, Archage, Elder Scrolls online etc)

you can get everything without paying a cent in this game, and the F2P model tbh is very generous if you compare it to other titles where they have restriction on stuff.

As for Auction. the amount spent by the auction winner is divided between the rest of the group, that means if the user spent alot you will earn alot of money for free. plus once someone obtained something from a dungeon they won't need it anymore (EG Costume/ Weapon for own class etc)

the wardrobe is only exclusive to Premium but does that makes it P2W? thats purely cosmetic.

i played on the russian server for a long time. They kept the cashshop the same and honestly there is the ability to buy cash items from players so not really pay 2 win in the sense of league of angels and such. Nothing there will give you a HUGE advantage on the battle field. most is cosmetic or convenience.  I also got a nice look at the shop durring beta (could change) but it looked rather identical.

Unfortunately the Russian version is extremely outdated and it is p2w. No offence. Russian's arena is not equalized and is gear based meaning if someone uses real cash they can easily farm to to top and obtain the best weapon then wrecks everyone in arena. don't deny it. i played Russian version and i know how horrible it is. not sure why alot of people still want to try out the game by playing through that crap

as with the topic. if you think games like league of legends where buying a booster that last for an hour is p2w/ anything other than comestic = p2w. then this game is not for you
