4 tries and now with a new version of the installer thats termed " lite", the 215 MB download either fails or takes 6+ hours to DL. Does anyone have a torrent tracker for it, or a mirror site? 2016 and they cant figure out that an installer should DL and unpack itself in less than 30 seconds?

I've had the same problem downloading the game AFTER I've managed to download the installer.
I've never had any similar installer problems with other games ;/

Ive had a similar problem with installing BnS, the solution was to install the CBT client and then starting the launcher with the normal BnS exe on my desktop.

my download speed is very bad on the launcher i think its been about 3 days since i started downloading xD + i had the cbt client at first dont know why they didn't patch it tbh...

keeps dropping from 800 kb to like 200 bytes then starts at 800 kb again and drops again ;D
( 100 mb left T_T)

I've tried to install this a few times now with no luck so I've given up. It's just plain downright a joke

Ive had 0 problems downloading both the original client and then any updates like this morning, both download at decent speeds btw uk based here

I sometimes wonder if there are other reasons people have issues with some of these games.

For example, is there something different about your setup, are you installing it to a different place, do you have a specific virus protection, etc.

All I did was download the installer to my games folder and "install". Nothing weird happen. But I haven't tinkered with my computer or have anything idiosyncratic about my components or setup.

Zero issues for me so far, havent played it yet but it downloaded in about an hour.

first of all.. why is the installer "lite" 215 mb? second of all, why is 215 mb taking 1 hour to download? That alone shoudl tell you something is wrong. I download 4 GB 4k movies in about 45 mins.  

There is nothing wrong with my setup. This is just the autodownload in Chrome. A 5 year old game and they havent figured out how to get people playing their game. They dont deserve players. Glad Q1 2016 is ripe with stuff to play.

really no idea whats going on for these few, dl that launcher then decided to login and dl the game, its all done and ready to go. I must say though the speed was almost a quarter of what I usually get,, DL rate in launcher was 7mb/s

I didn't have any problems downloading installer or installing it. Updating it on other hand gave me one or two problems. NCsoft launchers are crappy to say the least. That horrible launcher and fickle download speeds are why as much as I want to go back to Aion and L2. I won't.

Its about 8 hours what im trying download this game.... that 1.1 kb/s download speed is insane !

If it is dropping,only two things,it is using a torrent type seeding or your IP is throttling your bandwidth which Torrents are often throttled using common addresses.
I could see mild drops if many people downloading,but constnatly going from 800kb to 200 kb sounds like seeding or throttling.
It could very well be NCSOFT throttling as well if they are using the same bandwidth servers as the game servers.They would do that then to make sure the players in game are not lagging out from too many downloads.However in 2016 any decent publisher would make sure the downloads are separate from the game server bandwidth.

This is the operation that closed down TR just to save the 20 million they promised Lord British ,so i wouldn't put anything past NCSOFT.

30 seconds to get the installer using chrome, 30 minutes for the game (got about 10 min. left) getting 7MB/s

no issues here. (Comcast btw)

Update:

Didn't realize there was a second download stage, so:

215MB ~ 30 sec
8.5GB ~ 30 min
3.6GB ~10 min

downloaded and installed last night very quickly and without any problems. Surprised since anything that uses the NC Launcher gives me ahard time always. This one was a breeze.

I read turning off anti virus works so i tried that and it did but i also closed my all tabs on browser and stopped downloading because when i was trying to download the installer it kept failing, it's not my style of combat i am just having a nosey while i wait for Asta to come out.
