Locking servers outside of schedule!

So I set my alarm for 5 am to make sure that I am able to create my character on the server my friends are playing on outside of the "locked schedule".  I found out the hard way Windrest is locked anyway.

Is this my fault for bothering or seriously poor planning on NCsofts part?

It's your fault. Even if you'd manage to create a character on the server, you'd be sitting on queue and not being able to play at prime time anyway.

    Heh.

I got in, not logging out!  There is a goldseller problem they need to fix, more players less gold spammers!

Is there an AFK kicker mechanism in the game, or can you just leave your character to idle on the server 24/7?

When FFXIV launched, people kept their characters permanently logged-in for days to avoid the queues.

When Archeage launched, people kept their characters permanently logged-in for days to avoid the queues.

Looks like BnS will be much of the same.

I'm starting to get the feeling that developers let this happen intentionally, because it creates hype and generates news all over the internet. Technically it's bad publicity, but "this game is too popular" is the kind of "bad publicity" that every developer will love...
