Decided to play this game for a few hours.
-First, the queue. I had to wait in some line for 20 minutes before the game would let you play, if you want to skip the line you have to pay money.
-The gold spammers. Massive amounts of non-stop gold spam. Chat is immediately useless. Great first impression.
-UI is super small on a higher resolution screen. I could barely read the pixelated mess.
-The gameplay is so generic. Solo quest after solo quest. Run here, kill 3 mobs. Run back to NPC. Kill 4 mobs there. Run back to NPC. Bring an item here. Run to NPC. This game makes WoW look next-gen.
-The combat is just generic clic clic click combat, every class can solo anything it seems. There's no reason why anyone would group, and no on e does not surprisingly.
-The cutscenes are fun to watch, but I can watch those on youtube.
This isn't a good game.

In today's gaming world... everything new is gonna be tried.
Real players waiting in que trying to get in.
"This may hurt a little, but it's something you'll get used to. Relax....."
I just can't see it, I think the game has no chance of real longevity. The leveling is boring, the questing sucks, so leveling up other classes won't happen for most players, and there isn't much of an endgame to speak of.
It just speaks volume to the real starvation out there for quality MMOs...
One fanboi praising a game does not a movement make. Hell, if I said I liked it because it had pie, does that mean I've hyped the game? Hype is rabid fanboism... endless upon endless threads. This game is going to be forgotten quicker than it came to the west.
Next up... Black Desert... and the cycle continues.
From what I have heard it's only click click combat(no thinking required) in early stages and absolutely not in PvP.
I guess it gets better but for me it feels like the story is interrupting me from actually playing the game.
Whether it's a Korean grind shop may be a bit much.. but who knows how it will end up.
Take the Magic: The Gathering 'What Color Are You?' Quiz.
I know this and you know this but we will still get some kids yelling at us for telling the obvious truths and calling us Trolls,i guess only the opinions of fanbois matter.
People often ask why we don't just praise every game and say nothing but nice things.
Well maybe i'll spend 1 minute and explain it.
We should NOT be advocating lazy weak game designs, not if we want the genre to grow and get better. We should let developers and media know how we really feel about these games.
That does not mean we won't praise a solid idea or a game that looks to be putting in some EFFORT but to sit back and watch very lazy game designs receive advertising praise,NO THANKS that sends the WRONG message.
Then we get the obvious argument "but i like this game,i think it is fun" oh yes people have been making such wise decisions for the past 10 years, that is why there has been a steady train of hype then ghost servers a few months later.
Here is a prime example of wrong hype, this site was praising ARK because their servers were full, they have 70 man servers lmao, there is something seriously wrong there when we feel the need to mention a game can fill a 70 man server.
Also notice,i never once said it was a bad game,it is just not a good game,it is a very average game.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
Even without Black Desert coming soon B&S will be forgotten in a couple months.
2) Even World of Warcraft still have gold spammers and they are even worse: They invite you to a group, send you a private message with scam links and you're instantly logged out of the game because of some account hijacking sh*t the bots may be using. So, If even blizzard couldn't handle them, this is not a parameter.
By the way, you can block them and you will never see their messages again.
3) You can change the UI scale in the game options.
4) This is only your opinion. It's a "themepark" MMO, what else you were especting? We don't have anything inovative in the MMO genre in decades.
5) Same as 4. The combat is very fun, with plenty of combos and strategical options based on diferent foes/class encounters, IMO.
6) Cutscenes are part of the storytelling. What you suggest they do? Put a disclaimer in the middle of the scenes, like "there should be a cutscene here for your enjoyment, but we decided to put them on youtube, so check them out on our channel if you want to know more about the story"?
A game isn't bad just because you don't like some things in it.
Today 5 hours in the queue, still 700 more people to go, 480 minutes more wait time... so play today

Can you honestly name SINGLE mmo that has released in the last 5 years that hasn't had EXACTLY this experience?
Its honestly the definition of insanity, people keep playing this games, having identically bad experiences, and then keep telling themselves that the next one down the line will somehow be different.
STOP supporting these companies, stop playing their games. Thats the only way this crap is going to end.

Right now I'm not even gonna bother with it, but those who already don't have enjoyable F2P game will.
I can give a player the benefit of a doubt regarding their criticisms of BnS but they lose all credibility when they say the combat is a generic clickfest. When you take into account all of the potential combo choices in this game, and the fact that it is active combat, BnS has probably one of the more strategically active MMORPG combat mechanics of all the MMORPGs. You won't see this, however, if you don't give it a chance and all you've done is play the game for 10 levels. It's a lot like TERA (only better IMO, and I am a fan of TERA) in that the quests aren't anything to write home about but the combat mechanics are hella fun and make it all worthwhile. I just don't see how you can improve much more on the combat mechanic aspects of the game.
Velika: City of Wheels: Among the mortal races, the humans were the only one that never built cities or great empires; a curse laid upon them by their creator, Gidd, forced them to wander as nomads for twenty centuries...
It's not just solo quest after solo quest. There are plenty of world bosses which require a group (some I run over and over each day), Plenty of dungeons, Arena PvP, some crafting, etc. Questing is generic yes, but the world and level design is nice and the combat is fun so..
Combat is generic "clic clic"? Idk what to say if you think this combat is generic... it's definitely the best combat I have played.
Looking forward to: Crowfall / Lost Ark / Black Desert Mobile
Ok ill explain it because I didn't realize you were newer players. The game is f2p which means anyone can create a new account. You can also get email from many different websites and they are free. So they create a new email then create a new account then log into the game and spam their gold websites. They get banned then do it again and again and again. There really is no way to stop them in a f2p game without putting restrictions that f2p players will cry about. So far the most gold sellers I have seen online at one time was 10. It took me about 20 seconds of ignoring them then I only heard from one every few hours or so. Now when there is a queue the GM's can kick the gold sellers out then they have to wait all night before they can get back into the game. That is if they aren't already flooding the queue with all their free accounts waiting.
So now you see its not as easy as you think. You can't ban the ip because then you risk losing legitimate players. Sure there's some things they can do but is it really that big a deal, I guess it is because people don't even try to ignore them instead they cry on forums.
Game is built pretty much for Arena PVP, and that's okay. But the group aspects are mostly non-existent.
...
The combat is pretty good, it's not my favorite (TERA), but it's easy top 5 of MMOs I've played. Definitely not a mindless click fest like the guy who hasn't done any pvp or grouping mentioned.
