Just another failed Korean MMO brought to the west or will it have a decent niche crowd when it comes over in a year or two?

The 2-faction world PvP will be a bummer for all PvE-fans. PvE also seems somewhat undercooked. On the other hand the PvP aspects of the game could create a niche crowd for this title.

What I dislike about this title is their current fatigue system. So many activities are restricted by fatigue, if you wish to play this game a lot be prepared to use your credit card.

Yea, the fatigue systems they put in Korean MMO's are dumb.

What I do like is that huge open world and OWPvP.  I'm not a big fan of Theme Park MMO's, but having no dungeon finder that ports you do the dungeon, and actually makes you run there is awesome to the PvP of the game.  I loved it in Vanilla WoW.

combat is terrible at the moment though. Action combat or tab target and they do not do either very well. Ruins the game
I've watched videos and they all say Combat is shit.

    It looks like rubbish.

Factions is the WORST thing ever introduced in a MMO. PvP-PvE itens the second, quest chains the third.

It will fail. TERA is a much better game from what I've seen so far.

Only games I know that have failed are games like Warhammer Online, Vanguard and Tabula Rasa.

I think the combat needs work as it is now but besides that it is a fun game with great graphics and a great open world.
The combat needs work but I don't think it's as unplayable as some comments/videos I've seen.

I was watching a video where the streamer was getting more and more progressively angry with it but I felt his emotions, while they might be valid for him, were non-issues or at least not as game breaking for me.

My opinion of Bless is that it isn't innovative enough or bring anything new to the genre.  As a result, you are less likely to be hard pressed to continue playing it over a game you've been playing and have a lot more time invested in.  In other words, if you've already invested considerable time in BDO, there is little reason to leave it for Bless.  As lacking as BDO may be, it has a lot more to offer than Bless does.

I think it'll get similar reviews to AA and B&S in the west with an average score of 5-7 depending on the reviewer/website. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens next.

According to game site 2p.com, Bless Online's highest concurrent online players in Korea reached 90,000 (note that Korean open beta started on Jan 27th 2016)

This figure apparently came from 2p.com's sister site in China which claim to obtain it from an "insider"  in the Korean gaming industry. Since this is the first month period of its open beta, Bless has unsurprisingly taken up the top spot of Korean MMORPG ranking for now.

The original Chinese report also give a comparative list of how Bless performed against other MMO in their first month of release in Korea. I will just list two that might be of interest to gamers in the West:

Blade and Soul - max 230,000 concurrent users (July 2012)
Archeage - max 100,000 concurrent users (January 2013)

I don't think this game will do well in the West, it's just too average and contains everything the West is sick and tired of, with nothing that really shines or stands out about it. As gorgeous as it is..
Now Playing: Bless / Summoners War
Looking forward to: Crowfall / Lost Ark / Black Desert Mobile

Too early to tell at this time.

But Bless might be the last high budget AAA themepark we'll see in a long time, possibly the last one ever.

I wouldn't write off AAA Theme parks just yet.  These things go in cycles.

Well idk how much depth it has in it but yes if typical of how Korean devs make their games it is likely a one trick pony. However i will be trying it out for sure.
What will make me instantly depart and delete is if i see any of that typical Korean spamfest combat.I want thinking, challenging combat not a ARPG pretending to be a mmorpg.

I've watched some Steparu videos and it reminds me of Vanilla WoW, maybe not as oldschool, but still brings back the feeling watching her videos.

What would a big budget AAA non-themepark MMO even look like?  Surely no one would sink 200 million into full loot PvP.

I agree. A non-themepark AAA MMO would be the project of an eccentric billionaire with more money than sense at this point.

Either that, or another horribly cynnical attempt to dig into the Minecraft and/or survival audience.
