Sorry guys. But if they coin this game as B2P. It should be expected to get full featured game for the money.
I dont know how is it in Korea, but in west MMO players expect that you can visually modify character, and that armors actually display when equipped.
This is part of the game.
If they make such important part of the game Cash Shop only - than I didnt get full featured game.
Its basically F2P game that asks you to plop 30$ in front.
And for matters to be even worse, even F2P games dont go to such greedy lengths to block all cosmetic changes to Cash Shop. (and with hefty prices as well ... I remember few days ago someone posted costumes cost more than 20$)
In short. Disgusting practices.
It's an f2p game in 3 region taking entrance fee in western region while removing in game way to customize character look and putting everything cash shop. People say it is not pay2win, they still have not hit the proper mark to understand what is pay2win in BDO. Daum researched market and had definitive data on how they can milk the fat western tards without being called out and it is working.
Boobs are LIFE, Boobs are LOVE, Boobs are JUSTICE, Boobs are mankind's HOPES and DREAMS. People who complain about boobs have lost their humanity.

I see you haven't bothered reading other replies in this thread but please continue to talk out of your ass
Does it have RNG lootboxes for costumes? I know that TERA had this(and perhaps BnS).,
But this practice is NOT TO BE TOLERATED. I don't care whether people eat each other in Korea, things are different here. And if they want to be truly succesful here, they better change this part.
I take it I am not the only one concerned about this(I find aesthetics, armours etc very important)...
No rng loot boxes in the cash shop unless I just happen to miss them when I was looking.
if you buy a costume in the cash shop it is previewed on your character before you commit the cash so what you see is what you get. You can also go into business for yourself and craft costumes

Not sure about costumes, but there are RNG dye boxes, which I find equally annoying.
Btw, don't forget that all white items in Wow ALSO were complete copy pastes of eachother. It was only blue and purple items that had any different look.
Don't you get it that was WoW the Western game. This is a Korean game and you know how people on this forum are with their double standards.
yep, totaly relevant what has been done 11 years ago
you know, games in the 80s didn't even have bloody items! sooooo... who needs items! and whoever does, totaly double standard!

So someone that likes the game for graphics and gameplay, and is willing to spend some of their "own" money for a little self gratification, is a , quote: "FAT WESTERN TARD"
I am starting to agree that maybe cash shops really are the best thing for MMO's. The people that tolerate them at least seem to enjoy MMO's. And the shops probably tend to filter out such fine individuals as the poster above.
That might be worth spending a few bucks just in of itself.
(also I love the fact that paying real money to look cool, is considered P2W by some of these fine people)
Yea, I guess it is, but how petty do you have to be to even care??

Its like people forget or just ignore that its a Korean game and cash shops are the big deal. But for the U.S. you also have the B2P crap on top of it.
This is why I don't like F2P games, their gameplay is designed around and significantly influenced by the monetization model.
This game was never designed around a real B2P model, which was just a surcharge they tacked on knowing some portion of the western market would gladly pay for it. I expect it to be dropped in the future.

Did anyone even read my post or what is this madness ? There is shit tons of armor models and sets you can wear that all look completely different, just STOP SPREADING LIES.

It's called selective reading. They only skim and pick up stuff that conforms to their point of view and comment on those posts. The rest just gets discarded even if it is true or relevant.
OP if he has some decency should come back and edit his post with the new information. We'll see if he does shall we.

I believe you are right Kyleran. It is like a first run movie where you go to the cinema and pay full price to watch it first. After that you can wait until it shows up in a dvd bargain bin or runs on netflix, or you watch it for free with commercials.
Its a new game and they are taking advantage of that. Like it or not that is business. Same with the business model. Like it or not. They get to choose and you get to decide.
But still people will complain, because while they could wait for the B2P to be dropped, they would then complain that they are now behind everyone else that ...oh....yeah, just happened to pay for that privilege as well.
Sorry peeps, we aren't living in 90's anymore.

Nah they'll just ignore you and keep going even if they've been put down constantly... these people have to hate on something, it's like their oxygen... not even worth bothering your time with
Amazing thread where people just ignore facts in favor of hate for cash shops and whinng about a game they clearly haven't played, at all.
I find Black Desert to have one of the least p2w chash shops out there, I also find it a gorgeous, exciting and different game, especially amongst all those WoW-clones everybody on these very boards seems to hate so much.
@Jelliuz, on these boards cash shops are the ultimate evil, no matter what they sell, all are p2w. Yes, even in games like PoE because of extra stash tabs or FF14 because of retainers. This 'logic' trumps everything else, quality of the actual game, items sold, prices etc. etc It also trumps the facts you have presented, I am sorry.

It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.
It is just huge resource waste....'
Gdemami absolutely not being an armchair developer
Ok, you are actually first to talk about this. Combined with outrages prices that are reported in shop. Its virtually extortion, fitting very immoral F2P. But certainly not B2P title
Glad i didnt buy it.
I only dont understand why nobody that buy and play game didnt deem its worth to talk about it or warn others.
Because the new trend of MMORPG Fanboys is to overhype the game because they want something to play that has a healthy population. Even if they see obvious "bad" in the game, there's little chance most of them will point it out because they don't want to disparage the game.
This trend is growing stronger. You see it heavily done in the newer generation of games out there, like PoE and ESO.
Want me to go on ? There is 5,6 different sets of armor for each class There is 7+ professions sets There is crafted sets (don't know how many) Then there are the costumes that have no stats and can be worn over armor, partially available in cash shop for stupid prices but who cares and in Calpheon you can even MAKE crazy costumes if you have the goods to do so in a special house with special equipment.
thank you! people are going way overboard over this talking like the inicial peasant outfit is with you forever... people keep forgetting that this is not the usual handholding MMO, you actually have to do some research to get what you want
Doing research to have fun is not fun.
When did this trend of "put in work to have fun in your downtime" become so prevalent?
"Handholding MMO's" don't exist. Those games just try to make it easier for their players to enjoy the play experience. If someone has a full time job, kids, and like 2 hours 4 days a week to play an MMO, they don't want to spend half of that time doing "research."
Btw, don't forget that all white items in Wow ALSO were complete copy pastes of eachother. It was only blue and purple items that had any different look.
That's not true.
And WoW has White - Green - Blue - Purple - Legendary - Artifact items.
EverQuest back in 1999 also didn't have the same appearance on virtually every low drop, either. They had different graphics for a lot of that stuff. Even at the very low levels.
I'm not sure where you're basing these lies. Anyone can level a low level toon in WoW in classic zones and see that even the classic drops, which have seen almost no changes, do not simply copy and paste the same appearance - and you certainly don't see this propagated all the way up to level 40 or 50...

Crafted sets look good for what they're supposed to be- used when crafting. Not really great for replacing normal high end gear.
The bottom two look pretty decent, though. How do you get them and were they dyed with cash shop dye?
The game started fairly positive for me, but the grinding and grinding got me so bored. I got to lvl25 in a day and quit. I didn't even know quests give such small amount of XP. Not to mention how hard it is to get knowledge of everything around you, it just gets thrown in your face.

Opinions man, I myself like a game that let's me choose my path, I don't like it when the game tries to control you, but honestly you can watch a youtube video in 10-20minutes and learn most of the mechanics the game offers rather quick.
But in all honesty, someone with as little time as that should just focus on other games(unless you really like MMO's) I mean these games have "Massive" in their name for a reason so every MMO has things that are gonna be time consuming, let it be the learning of mechanics or the endless grind that are usual in many MMO's.

The problem with your statement is, well..... it is just completely made up in your mind, with no fact back anything up.
Sure people want to play games with healthy pops. This is why they all get together on Sunday mornings before church to make everyone swear not say anything disparaging about the game. You are also required to purchase an "IAMA" insert game here"FANBOI" T-shirt before you can be sworn in.
And anyone who says that these people simply enjoy the game enough to want to play it despite some flaws they may have noticed, is absolutely delusional.

Its looks so great they are willing to likely deal with it at first but will get frustrated quickly is my thinking.
Either way, right or wrong, im staying away until its been out for a bit and they get past the first 3 months.
But i guess it will benefit PvP performance later on and possibly help with the lag.
