There was a stream last night about Issue
#14, with plenty of spoilers (and in the middle a designer / animator section about the new mob type, the scarab
). Issue
#14 will be added to Testlive next week, and will go live later this month.
It will be a story-focused Issue like 5, 6 and 7 was, and it won't be in Tokyo (finally
), we will return to Egypt. Issue's name is Call of the Nameless, it will be a complete storyline (like
#6 was for example), adding 2 new instances, an epic boss at the end, and like the other story Issues it will give a purple item at completion.
There will be 2 investigation missions in
#14, one of them is "
advanced, different type of investigation they'd done before" according to Tilty in the stream. Sounds interesting...
Since it's in Egypt, it won't be an Issue with high-end, AEGIS-craved difficulty (normal end gear will be enough), but it will have some tricks so noone will one-shot bosses during the story.
Some new mechanics arriving to the game with
#14, like jump pads (since we
love the jumping puzzles, right? Lava game champion, anyone?
).
-Teleport window, it will replace the different teleport items like the Agartha conduit, for freeing up inventory space and also convenience. Plus giving to FC the option of adding new teleport-able locations in the future (for the joy of the "fast travel" camp in the other thread Space and time...)
-Anima deviation, a new mechanic for dungeon and raid bosses, a buff on them which will alter some elite player abilities (replacing the CC component of those with additional damage). It's for helping tanks, allow players to use those elites more freely whilst not to drop additional CCs into the fight (and messing up everything for the tank)
The CE version of Issue
#14 will have a scarab pet, an Egypt-themed outfit, and an Egypt teleport.
@SBFord Suzie, there's a thread (
https://forums.thesecretworld.com/showthread.php?95831-What-Happened-to-the-MDUs ) about why there was no monthly dev letters lately, and in that thread Odonoptera said he will make a summary of the stream's Issue
#14 infos, and put it up on the front page (in case you want to add it to the news section here later, from official sources
)

A bit odd timing, mostly they're doing maintenance 7-8 hours earlier... Still, if there won't be any problems, we'll be able to play the new Issue during the last hour of March (here in the EU), hence by the letter it indeed will go live in March. Barely.
Close shave, Funcom
