The topic is about racism and hate so why is it not relevant to talk about the experiences I had in Tera. Then someone comes and flat out lies about playing it for years and never,NEVER encountering it. Which is BS.
I see and read just as much prejudice on these forums as I do in any given game I play East or West. The mods do a good job on here yet you still see a lot of Asian references that are derogatory in nature. As a Korean American I have been offended more than once here,other forums and in many games. East and West. I just ignore it and move on. (At least try to)
I have yet to understand how Can someone be offended by random tHIngs on the interNet, especially by some silly Generalizations. I personalLy have never had problems with nOt doing something so not getting offended just seems Like the easiest thing.
I do agree mods on this site do a reasonably good job though.

While I agree that racism in modern society is an ignorant thought process I do not care if someone is or not as long as they do not act on it in a real, physical sense like in the workplace. If someone was mocking you in real life to your physical face then that obviously would be a different story because you could infer that the attack is personal and therefor deserves an emotional response. What some random asshole says in chat does not deserve ANY response, especially since they are being an asshole just to get a rise from someone.

Well you have to admit some posters here like to make flaming posts. If everyone commented in a rational method, this forum would be so much better for discussions but alas we get people fighting for months if star citizen is coming out or not, when will a "good" mmo come out because apparently all of them suck and whatever the current popular subject to debate on.
I'll say this, unless you're able to find people and physically discipline them for being racist online, there's no point getting worked up about it and bringing it up here. You'll be met with apathy and be told to grow thick skin by guys who are allergic to everything including sunlight.

I am a huge fan of manga,manwha and anime and love Korean ,Taiwanese,Chinese and Japanese dramas and I too often defend the games against the rubbish people post here about games coming from Japan and Korea. I think there is a lot of prejudice but just flying of into defensive mode about everything people post here can be a problem in itself.
Hopefully moderation increases now that Daum is hiring new people (per Q&A with Pvt Wiggles today). This really isn't that unusual in new games from what I've experienced - honestly stick to local chat, guild chat, or no chat until things calm down. Me I do a lot of blocking - and then wonder at how much odder the conversation gets...LOL
a major irritator for me in this game is a certain part of the community...
espescially the general International chat is evil... they allways bring up racisme Nazi, black people, and islam related... there is a guild that requires their members to wear a white pointy hat... there is a guild called Nessert Diggers, which constantly brings up hate related topics there is a guild named nsdap, and one called AdolfSS and offcourse the guild ISIS..
i am not used to this from other MMos i play, atleast not in this magnitude, why is this sombad in this game?

For me personally you shouldn't judge the community of a game that just launched because the first couple of weeks will be filled with people that are still not sure they like the game or not. This will inadvertently bring a lot of debates in chats and in the long run insults and weird/stupid topics.
Anyone who played Aion at launch will surely remember certain people made their characters so ugly and out of place that is was pretty childish. Those people usually don't last unless their monstrous creation is ugly but also amazing. They tend to reroll or move to another game. The same happens in this game. With the game being "new", all these 7 day trials that can be gotten quite easily and a ton of people hating eastern games, you will surely find some people that will make an account just to troll.
The guild I mentioned earlier (PronHub) won't probably last long. It's a matter of time until the devs notice or enough people report them. In archeage I remember a dick guild that pked same faction and helped the enemy faction for the lols created the biggest castle possible. In archeage you can put a cash shop painting with a custom image. Long story short, this castle was full of hentai and chibi porn.
When you give options to people, some rotten apples go full on on it.
