Just curious, is combat 1,2,3,4,5,6 etc and also the choice of RMB and LMB with corresponding letter keys? Or do you have to use both options or can use one or the other while maintaining your target.
Not quite sure what you are talking about except maybe you are talking about rotations?
There are various skills, they are implemented through a key press or set of key presses and either or both right and left mouse buttons.
Maintaining your target means aiming.
There are certain combos that do well with other combos. If you throw/know your target down they get a downed state damage. If you hit them in the back they get more damage. On the valkyrie there are skills that turn the target from you and then you can get that back damage. I assume other classes might have something similar.

Almost all abilities are a combination of WASD, E, F, Q, Shift and Spacebar and mouse button presses. There are very few that have no key combination and you have to use those on the 1-0 hotbar.
There are also many abilities that require timing. For example, the Ranger's main AOE grinding skill fires off an explosive shot that damages and CCs the mobs while jumping in the air either backwards, to the left or right using A, S or D while holding the right mouse button... once you're in the air you need to press the left mouse button to fire off an AOE rain of arrows.

The only skills you should have on your skill bar are the buffs and debuffs that dont have a directional + F/Q/E/LMB/RMB combination. My opinion, that is what i do. I rarely even use that skill bar other than to put potions, food, and some buffs. Its so much better than 1,1,1,1,1,2,,1,1,1,2,3,4,1,5 mmos.
ok i guess what im saying is key you play with you skills in the hot bar that are numbered cause when i hit the F key my low kick icon on my number one key is utilized. when i hit W + F my darkness release that is loaded on my number 3 key is utilized. so it looks like i dont h ave to use the mouse and letters when i can just load them in the hotbar correct?

I think there's a small penalty for some abilities if you use them on the hotbar. Maybe they cost more mana or something, but not entirely sure how it works.
