I loved the game when it launched. I played MIdgard back then. Then the heal nerf came and I jumped ship to Hibernia. RvR was amazing. I got a few of my friends to play with me but for the bulk of them PvP was just not their thing.
Then the Gharis PvE server was launched to the gain subs from those that enjoyed PvE more than PvP. Luckily for me, my friends that once snubbed the game came to play with me. This server bothered the RvR commmunity greatly and to appease those masses the Gharis server was moved from the main list to the alternate rule set heading. Once it was hidden it basically died as new players didn't see it. This was a shame as that server offered three times the content as all the other servers since you could go anywhere and experience it all.
I popped into Gharis a few months ago looking for a shot of nostalgia and to possibly start playing the game full time again. Unfortunately there was less than 20 people to play with and this was prime time. I have a feeling if Mythic-EA hadn't buried and kept buried the heading under and alternate rule set the server would still be thriving or at least have a decent population.
