Thinking about playing again

Hey folks,

I am thinking about coming back and trying the game again. All I really have is a lvl 50 bard, so I know I am going to have to learn a lot again. I am really wondering if there is a better server for newer players (not worried about it being the one that I have the BRD on)

Or if anyone knew any newish player friendly guilds

I've been pondering jumping back in as well, but with the lack of a fast forward button through all the 1.0 story stuff I'm not really sure I'd want to start at level 1 again on a new character.  Not to mention the fact that one character literally can be any class in the game anyway, so one could just start up playing a new job and grinding it to 55.  

Right now I'm still waiting for them to fix the problematic inventory issues and charging for more inventory space via retainers instead of giving players a boost when the next expansion comes out like they did with WoW.

Why dont you check out Grievance.  I recently joined and they been very enjoyable to play with.  My wife and I even transfered over to be with this guild.  They have many players over a lot of games and it makes it easier to play other games when I get the kicks to try one again.

If you do join and need someone to run with from time to time my wife and I will run with you.

Me and a buddy are playing on the Mateus server, I'm about the same as you and my buddy is just starting off so he's doing the MSQ up to level 42.  We use skype and always do stuff together if you're interested let me know.  We're just looking for 2 other people to do stuff with on a daily basis.  We are in an FC with really friendly veteran people but we're still kinda behind so would love to have two more people to go through the game with us.

I think there are probably new player friendly Free Companies on any server. I'm on Excalibur (legacy server) and there are still newbies there all the time. Some servers, including Excalibur, have pretty active Facebook pages where it's convenient to put out a call for the type of Free Company you're looking for. That way you can shop around a bit. I'd say the most important thing is to find friendly people who enjoy helping newbies and put up Free Company xp buffs at all times.
