Albion Online vs. Black Desert

I am looking for people who have played both games (or at least considered both games).

Why did you chose one over the other.  What did you like about each.  I know there are a lot of threads about these games but I am trying to decide which one to buy into.

I played UO up until DAoC.  I like sandboxes.  I like crafting and exploring.

The thing that I am sad to say is that BEFORE, I would have picked Albion for the fact that there is trading and a community economy etc.  Right now I don't care about that so much.

Looking for feedback.  I did try the 7 day for BDO and didn't have a lot of time to try it out.  The interface, combat, voiceovers while reading text etc. would take some getting used to and I really didn't get past that.

Thoughts?

    Night and Day difference.

I don't consider the 2 games in the same category frankly

From Abion online's pseudo-isometric camera and combat, world scope, depth of systems - compare that to BDO's high end visuals, free cam, action combat, depth of systems.

    It's two entirely different games.

If you liked UO the most Albion could be an ok fit (it's very different than UO) - but at least it sort of has a similar feel.

BDO is a very different animal

You really need to play both for at least a couple of weeks to see what's a better fit for you.

Yeah I was thinking that.  I guess I will add that I really like housing that is "in world" .  I know they are far apart.  Hoping others might have been considering both.  High end graphics aren't a big deal and I don't mind 2.5d isometric.

i own both, Black Desert Online is great if you are into PVP, if you dont PVP then i wouldnt even bother cause you will have nothing to do but quest by yourself. Albion online is yes a totally diff game, though it at least has both PVE and PVP endgame in mind. both are currently boring for me right now cause of the graphics and layout of Albion and the lack of PVE in BDO. (man i wish BDO was better, such a big hype and huge let down after a week)

I was a bit afraid of that.  I would likely just be playing casually for a few months.  I guess its time to watch some YouTube of the two games.

both games in game housing is BLEH at best. Albion you will get your own property and such where you can set up your shops and farms and such but your house is a tent...and Black Desert was awesome at first until i got more into it and saw how lackluster there housing is. if you like in game housing and be able to do what you like with it, id check out Wildstar. its free so you cant complain and it recently came out with new content so its still going. ive been on and seen people in chat talk about how obsessed they are with there housing cause you can do quite a bit, and again...its free
