This question is largely going to depend on whether or not you enjoy having alternative characters. There was a time when I did and in almost every MMO I’ve played I’d have one of every profession (or class). Altitis was very real in my household and even up to playing Guild Wars 2 I had one of every profession maxed out.

No...I'm not too astounded by how much difference gear makes in pvp.

I prefer multiple classes. I will generally gear up only a couple of characters though. In BDO, I had one of everything but just lost interest in the game itself before hitting 20 on my "main." (hard to really call it a main properly when all the other characters were level 1) The content of BDO itself just didn't hook me in. Therefore, the thought of running up other characters through the same content just made me shudder. In other games, I've had quite a good time. Although to be honest, it's been a while since I've had a MMO deep enough to sink into for more than one character. Maybe 2017 won't let me down... I don't think there's anything in 2016 that I am aware of that looks appealing.

In this instance the light melee class is needed. I'm not even buying the game till Blader or Ninja comes out. I'm just not interested in the playstyles of any of the current classes. I don't necessarily think they need to go overboard with classes, but having a representative of each general style, (Tank, Melee DPS, Ranged, Magic... and in each sex since they chose to gender lock), is a necessity in my opinion.

I want to also add, personally I consider buying the game when the Musa and Maehwa come out, since my brother keeps trying to convince me to get the game (we always played together every mmo) but I kinda hate the classes currently available right now. So, playing with a class that seems cool and nice will somehow make the game enjoyable to me.

Well, yes and no. It doesn't matter because this is an MMO-brawler and most of the classes are functionally, the same. On the other hand, since it also has Choose-Your-Hero type character creation, more classes means more heroes to choose from...

No, not really. I've never been a FOTM class player. I play sword and board characters as long as that's an option.

No. Especially now that they are adding RNG to leveling up. Dumbest thing I've ever heard of.

I only have time for one character on one game these days.  Furthermore, there are so many different games now and so limited time that I find it much more fulfilling to experience five different games once than to experience one game with five different characters.

They didn't add it.  It's always been there.  People just found out about it.  And it's for HP/MP with what they call slight variance for theme RPG purposes.

Yes.  I really enjoy having choices. The more (as long as they're distinct) is better.

Yes but I am more interested in having Open World Dungeons

There's a 100 level dungeon coming in June that is Open World.

Doesn't matter. Stupid idea is a stupid idea. I did try the came and can't figure out the hype. Sub-par in everyway.

More power to anyone who enjoys it.

Thank you for the wish of more power.  One of the best MMORPGs I've played in a long time.

Depends on the classes. In this particular case, I'm VERY happy with them. Especially one of them is another male character to play! :D

I would love to see a Dwarf Engineer or a Demigod Druid (Demigods are the Deer guys...I might as well say it since nobody seems to know what the Demigod Race is lol).

I love BDO, but I'm not terribly hyped for new classes. I never am in an MMO, to be honest. More classes=more balancing woes and less time for content for me.
  • MikehaMikeha Member EpicPosts: 9,196
Yes, I like more classes. Even if I do not play one my self I like to see a variety of classes in the world.
  • IselinIselin Member LegendaryPosts: 18,719
Depends on the class. Of the 4 we knew would be coming even before the game launched because they exists in the other regions, Blader is the only one that interests me.

Well we know there's at least 3 more classes to be added, Ninja, Kunoichi, and whatever the new dark elf class will be called for it's male/female versions, since we also know all new classes with have both versions for the genders. I'm used to games like DAoC where we had many classes. So the more the better in my opinion, balance will always be rock, paper, scissors, so I'm not really worried about that.

I like what extra classes bring to game play, and I'm also a fan of alts. So it's a win win, for me. Plus the Ninja is the class I've been wanting to play since the start anyhow.

I stopped playing as i got sick of waiting for kunoichi on my tamer and dont like any other classes. At this point i may come back when it's released, but ToS has caught my attention pretty hard due to its class system and idk if i care enough to go back to BDO at this point. If kunoichi was out at launch? I likely wouldn't of touched ToS and would still be on BDO.
