Just thought I'd try to give a heads up out there that the game, all expansions and the obligatory 30 days game time is up on the Square Enix Store for $14.99.

I grabbed it up just for shits and giggles and to give the story a try through as I've heard much of the content is soloable now.  As common sense would tell you, the graphics are dated, soundtrack is top notch however (I may even buy some of the albums on itunes WTF)

The installation process is hilarious too.  One of the most involved installions of any game EVER.  There's like 12 steps and it takes most of an entire day.  You've been warned.

Yep i bought a third copy 3 years ago for that 15 bucks, everything included and enjoyed more years of play time.
However i have played enough and sadly wait for a replacement of equal quality.Textures might be dated but the game design is advanced over all other games.

Sadly Square never improved towards water zones, not in any of their games.
Even if you don't agree it is the best mmorpg ever and with different content than any other,it is easily the best console game ever, especially considering was made for the PS2.

The game is about as good of effort as you'll ever see for it's platform and what it could have done,a true Triple A delivery. What i see now a days are devs doing about 40% of what they could be doing, way too many lazy efforts all over the industry.

Oh well,i expect another great leader such as Tanaka will come along one day and ignite another great franchise game.Sadly we are in the era of "Blizzard" they dictate the popularity and the quality of lack of,so doesn't look good for a replacement to FFXI anytime soon.

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
