Make demands that they change the game to MMORPG mechanics since it's too hard. That's what fans of other genres do when they play MMORPGs and don't belong.
There's a few characters that require almost no aiming at all, but they're still very good. Winston, Mercy, and Symmetra. Also Symmetra and Torbjorn are more about setting up things rather than actively fighting.
Someone here said Reinhart requires aiming but really it's not much. He's more about positioning and using his shield well and charging at the right time.
Or you could try Bastion who does need to aim, but you could just spam his attack and do well.
I have decent shooting, I play as the one man apocalypse. Awesome self heal, high health pool, grapple hook, shotgun high damage to the face, twitch shooters with thier silly bow and sniper rifle are what I eat for breakfast.
I'm terrible at FPS as well, so I'm not too fond of them, but I really really like Overwatch for some reason. For people like us, they made Soldier: 76. He's the perfect character for people like us. His barrier of entry is nonexistent and he can make virtually anyone competitive regardless of their skill level. I wish all shooters had something like this, it makes playing so much more enjoyable.

What makes Soldier 76 different?? I looked at his description and he appears to be a traditional FPS type...
I suck terribly at FPS, I have better accuracy in third person games (found that out in SW Battlefront and uncharted multiplayer). WIth that said, During OW open beta i only enjoyed the characters that shoot arcing projectiles like Junkrat and Farrah because they play more like Tribes so i dont need to hit the target directly to kill them. It was more enjoyable that way for me as well.

He's an all-around well balanced character that requires no skill to preform well with. He has a sprint for mobility, a self-heal, simple play style, and his ultimate ability allows him to hit anyone even if you have terrible accuracy.
My FPS ability is pretty bad. However, I enjoy most Blizzard games. Is there anything that sets OW apart from other FPS games that might allow me to play decently for a change? Or is it standard, twitch combat? Nothing wrong with it if that's the case, it probably just isn't for me.
Not only its twitch combat , but its much faster than most of other games.
On top of that you usually die from one or two hits.
Only redeeming quality would be that some of heroes dont need much aiming with their weapons.
But in any case, if you dont like twitch combat, there is nothing in this game for you.
ps: dont listen to people bashing the game, they are simply blizzard haters, thats all
You don't need to be a good FPS player to win in this game.. they have dumb objectives that are pretty much 'stand in here for so long' or 'escort the vehicle' etc. which makes it easy to do well because all you do is spam bombs or whatever where the enemies are supposed to be standing. It looks like a terrible game to me for this reason...
Well, if that's the way you intend to play it...yes. it will be terrible. Teamwork is the key in Overwatch. Charge in on your own like a headless chicken and you'll faceplant before you even see what hit you.
Obviously it won't be for everyone but, personally, I haven't had so much fun in a FPS since the original Quake 2 CTF and deathmatch maps appeared on the scene.
lunawisp was my peacebringer in City of Heroes. She lives on, in memory, as my gaming id
before Mass Effect, Team Fortress was my favorite game. this game is like that, in some ways, and i am terrible at fps, but i've managed to get plays of the game and a few top card votes, so if i can do it, anyone can lol
Although I do not play overwatch this video gives me the perspective that if one approaches this specifc game as a shooter they will not be as good for the team then if they took a different more strategic approach. I am not saying its accurate I dont know but its worth a view I think for those who are involved in the game
Please do not respond to me, even if I ask you a question, its rhetorical.
