This is one of the hardest and most rewarding games that I have ever played.. if you decide to give it a try you are taking a plunge into dangerous territory with a unique experience that you cannot get anywhere else.

My keyboard (merc stealth steelseries) loves this game!!! I have such an advantage over other players because of my UI configuration, controls, and keyboard.. you have to own one to know what I am talking about. Every key does something and during fast-paced FPS combat?? Its amazing!

Bunny-hopping and more spells to use than what you can fit onto your keyboard while you are having an adrenaline rush because you don't want to die and lose everything that you are carrying! There truly is NOTHING else like this game. There are no safe zones. It feels exciting just to log in and the controls are so fun once you get used to them that simply running around town killing animals may seem funner than other MMORPGs....

Play when it launches to participate in racial wars... the best PVP to be found for a noob is traveling to enemy race lands and finding their nooby spawn.. and take all of their stuff to make your trip worth while ; )

The mobs are difficult, have superior AI, and the GMs may control them at times for special events or just to mess with players. The mobs also level just like you do! Take them down before they become too tough!

The map is huge!!! If you don't want to PVP but want to play this game keep in mind that there are several things you can do to be safe. You can group up with other people. You can pay attention to load lag and log out when it happens for a few minutes. You can learn to bunny-hop to safety, friends, or water.. just a few tricks you can do.

This is the best upcoming PVP on the market... DON'T MISS OUT ON THE LAUNCH!

Albion and Shards? Cool concepts and full-loot in some areas but can they really compete against the intense FPS gameplay Darkfall has?? The combat in Darkfall favors player skill over gear. You have to dodge and aim, and even use your surroundings while you are fighting to obtain every edge that you can. Everywhere on the map in Darkfall is a potential epic battleground.

Camelot Unchained? What do you get for winning? How much are you challenged? How does the game make you feel? Darkfall can provide an adrenaline rush that other games simply cannot achieve because there is fast-paced combat with something to lose unexpectedly. Its more exciting to grind in a game that at any time somebody can roll up and engage you in combat.

Crowfall? They sure have cool siege mechanics so far what with the walls crumbling and stuff but what point is there to fight in a game without real risk vs reward? Their combat is not as tested and they do not have as many skills at their fingertips as in Darkfall. They don't have spells that blind, etc.

Chronicles of Elyria? This game is almost vaporware it seems like... so much more needs to be done to it. Even Mortal Online looks like it has funner combat to somebody watching.. Darkfall has wayyyyYYY funner combat, I guarantee. The contracts in this game are interesting though but in Darkfall you can make personal contracts with other clans to ally them, sell them something, make sure they win a siege, etc. There is a lot of active politics in FFA PVP open world with no instances.

Pantheon. No PVP... need I say more? What happens when you have done everything that there is to do with PVE? Try something new!

SO WHAT ELSE IS THERE TO PLAY??

Black Desert Online.. sure if you don't mind having to grind to level 35 to PVP and then losing to everyone with better gear and then having to grind for that, with no real reward for winning.

Elder Scrolls Online.. lets face it.. Morrowind is a better game than this. I love this company but this game feels more like a solo game than anything and from my experience it consisted of running from NPC to NPC over and over and over again.... I would still like to try the group PVP in this game but doubt that it can match Darkfall which centers around PVP.

Guild Wars 2... this game was one of the biggest disappointments I have ever come across... compared to the original game it had no meaningful PVP to offer. The PVP for the most part consists of a control point map where you have to stand in a certain area more than your enemy... really bad idea. A lot of the time you find yourself spamming the same button over and over again in this game.. and you can still win boss mob by doing this. This game is easymode trying to please everyone and the end result in something that feels empty.

World of Warcraft.. I have never played this game because I cannot stand the kiddie cartoony graphics and art. I hear its not that great.

Archeage.. pretty cool soundtrack but talk about themepark pretending to be a sandbox.... this game forces you down a path like every other themepark out there and they advertised as being a sandbox game. The PVP is meaningless but the flying is pretty cool. You have to grind PVE for awhile before you see any PVP.

Overwatch.. wow this game is bad.. do you want to do good in this game? All you have to do is bomb the area where the enemies are supposed to stand. Its like they found a way for bad FPS players to feel like they are doing good. No real bragging rights and no real risk vs reward. Emotionless.

Darkfall Unholy Wars is still a pretty good game. It is the 'carebear' version of the original game. Many people are going to continue playing this one because they do not want to configure controls for so many spells, etc. I understand if you prefer this version of the game.. I will probably continue to sub to it for sieges or what not. Its a great game, especially compared to what else is out there.

So what else does the MMORPG market have?? Well pretty much mostly there are a bunch of games that you have to solo PVE your way through to catch up to other people before it comes an MMO. For the most part they cannot even claim to be MMORPGs anymore...

AV sold this game to another company who is taking things in their own hands... they are already making changes to the game.

If you haven't played Darkfall you are missing out an a truly MMORPG experience. This game is all about player interaction and the storyline is unique to every individual.

A tad too desperate sounding tbh, and the thing about saying its better than all those other games, never works, as i can pretty much guarantee that anyone who is a fan of any of those games mentioned will wholeheartedly disagree with your opinion, which pretty much means you just told all those players not to bother with the game you are so desperately trying to promote, well done.

Edit: Watched the trailer, imo WoW looks better.

Every word that I typed is true from my experience... I've been gaming all of my life and especially spent a lot of time in PVP games... there has to be others out there that I can reach who would appreciate playing this games launch. Its going to be EPIC!!!! This game has no advertisements, only word of mouth.. I will do what I can to promote it but I have no rose-colored glasses on . ... I have subbed to Darkfall for 8 years and know the reality of it all. Its not for everyone.

In reading this I really thought you were being tongue in cheek sarcastic. Your perception is way off from any other viewpoint I've read about about any version of DF.

Best PVP is spawn camping noobs? Also, for most bunny hopping combat is not considered good PVP, you are perhaps the only person I've ever seen try to spin this as a positive.

No rose colored glasses? I think they are permanently attached to your face, there's some very good reasons people stayed away or fled the first time around, (you didn't mention afk skill grinding, blood walls etc) and load lag is not a feature, but you again tried to spin it postitively.

Besides, if you are going to discuss MMORPGs that have PVP with real meaning, you should be talking about EVE. True, no action combat, but there's other better games for that if you prefer it.

Indeed, listing bunny-hopping as one of your positives leads to believe certain things about the game and the kind of people likely to play it. None of them, in my opinion, good.

The noob spawns will only be good right after launch... everyone will be at the same level and it should be crowded. It will be a great time to get some instant PVP that is potentially rewarding.

No I did not expect to win you over. I know you are with EVE.

The company that bought the game has already started making changes... I doubt that there will be blood walls or AFK skill grinding.. hopefully they do some kind of quick fix because Darkfall Unholy Wars doesn't really have grind other than gathering mats for PVP gear which is an ongoing thing. The prowess system really was so much better than 'level what you use'.. macro fest... but at the same time I did like coming across AFK macroers and taking all of those reagents...

Math challenged as well? DF launched in Feb 2009 and closed 3.5 years later. By exaggerating everything including negatives such as you rely on a remapped keyboard to supplement your "skill" to win it all comes across in sort of a comic, but sad and desperate light.

Good luck with your campaign, but if the new owners don't "fix" much of what you love, it will be no more appealing this time around than it was the first time.

Sad to say but I can't name any other MMO to date that is better than this game PVP wise not counting graphics.

I've never heard of Darkfall New Dawn... you mean there is yet ANOTHER Darkfall game coming out?? My God there cannot really be three of them at the same time all with EU and US servers can there? This would surely spread our population too thin unless they start seriously marketing this.

I honestly don't expect Rise of Agon to go anywhere. They are basically emulating the same game that tanked with very few changes.

New Dawn is taking all the original great ideas that Razor Wax had back when DF was in development and making them a reality. Instead of merely catering to the most hardcore PvP crowd, they are actually building on the sandbox aspect of the game and making it more appealing for a broader audience. There will be a built in reputation system to encourage patriotism and discourage griefing. They also have a way to increase diversity in combat builds and to alleviate the highly hybridized (clone) style of play the original game promoted.

Oh, and PS. Pantheon will have PvP servers.

Playing the launch of Rise of Agon will be fun as hell though!!!

Its the best opportunity you can get at open world PVP without any grind. The noob spawns will be so much fun, and racial wars all over again!!

I'm going to be an alfar and will totally love having all of those spells on my keyboard to use again.

So I guess that New Dawn will be more different... but Rise of Agon will be a nostalgic relaunch of the original.

Wow that is pretty damn exciting that I may experience the launch of 2 more Darkfalls!!

It takes so long to wait for the next FFA PVP game/server to launch, they are so rare.. I am glad that they recognized.

It works in EVE. They are also talking about all sorts of new features..

The first 2 were not terrible.. I've been happily subbed to both this whole time. Right now I am harvesting in Unholy Wars as I type this ; )

Darkfall was the best PvP experienced I've had (as I just wrote in another thread). Next up after that comes Tibia, which is not that close IMO.

Don't try New Dawn or Rise of Agon any time soon... Wait.. Half year? A year? If you start the game now, it will feel old. So don't do it.

nah I'm just harvesting in the game (unholy wars) and chatting on the forums... I've been looking for another game, miss Guild Wars and Vanguard but games die... and I am glad that there are 2 more launches for Darkfall to look forward too!! That is such good news, this game is funnest right when it launches.

Not sure what you do but I follow FFA PVP servers and have been since I started online gaming. I try to play every launch so that I don't have to grind for nooby PVP and figure out things before other people do... the endgame of Darkfall is very rewarding though...
