To be honest it doesn't look any better than No Mans sky.
As someone who owns, plays and loves both games:

If your Star Citizen looks like your No Mans Sky, i suggest you crank up significantly the details setting of your Star Citizen. You may have turned it down to get more FPS, but since Alpha 3.3.5 you should get very nice framerates at high detail settings. Of course it depends on your rig ... YMMV.

    Have fun

I run both on max and SC is only slightly lower in FPS then NMS, both hover around 55-60 fps for me with NMS closer to 60 and SC closer to 50.

    Kyleran on yours sincerely

'But there are many. You can play them entirely solo, and even offline. Also, you are wrong by default.'

Ikcin in response to yours sincerely debating whether or not single-player offline MMOs exist...

'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless.

It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.

It is just huge resource waste....'

SC FPS suffered a major optimization with OCS BUT there still is other large bits of optimization to come, to deal with render intensive areas, that would be the cities.

It it takes a very incompetent dev to break a FPS engine that badly in my unprofessional opinion.

This has little to do with the engine an more to do with network issues and bugs. Unlike most fps games the AI in star citizen runs from a remote server. they are obviously still working the kinks out of it. This is demonstrated by the fact that no of these issues happen in AC with regards to AI movement.

Still doesn’t change the fact they have a subpar FPS in a engine originally designed to make a FPS. Everything about this game except the graphics is subpar lol
