Steam Early Access - Characters - Get to keep or wiped eventually?

do we get to keep our characters from early access? (i.e. what was just released this week, pay 17.99 on steam etc)

the reason why i ask is, this is titled "early access" and normally if its titled "alpha, beta" etc you dont keep your characters.  but i thought since they named it early access, its similar to head start but i could be wrong.  

sidenote:  and no i dont need the simpson's comic book guy sarcastic reply.  a decent response is all i'm asking for heheh.  I've been out of the alpha/beta/headstart/early access game for a while now and I dont know what these newfangled kickstarter/vapeware etc rules are nowadays.  i've played countless betas in the past, and i occasionally was able to keep my characters, so i know the lines can blur. especially since this isn't flat out dubbed closed beta etc.  so i just need to help on the blur.

No. There will be wipes. Many wipes. Devs were pretty clear on that one.
