After hours and hours of prepping, tweaking, massaging content - we launched the new MMORPG.com site around midnight EST last night. The site itself was ready, if needing a bit of polish. What wasn't ready? The new servers at Amazon. For now, we're back to the old site, but not for long!

    I have been hitting my head on F5 every minute for 24hrs FOR THIS!!!11

    Don't blame it on the Amazon servers...i ordered a book yesterday, they worked perfectly fine!!

    shame about the black text on a black background. I can at least see what I am typing however!

    I wonder whether anyone else has mentioned this ..... do I want to go and find all their text ...

    Part of the aforementioned Vanilla Forum theming that @skywisenight now needs to revert back to the old ways. Hang tight!

    I think the worst is knowing that the site itself is good to go (with plenty of bugs of course), but that we are held back by the hosting. Soon!

    They should sell colors for each individual letter.  Want a black "Y" with a white "T"?  Want a purple "b".  You can pick and choose which letters you want to seeor not see in the comment box without using seleci all!

    You could always sell jpegs of the new site for ridiculously high prices.  Then early access.

    As an IT professional with experience with Amazon hosting, AWS, etc. is GARBAGE.

    It's as cheap as it is for a reason. Everything is unintuitive, bloated, horribly designed, and ONLY efficient because it is so cheap. You get what you pay for.

    I joined the forums today ... so the white text on white background is proving quite difficult ^^

    While I;m here though: are the blogs being deleted? I clicked the blogs link and got 404. Was curious if it was being re-done or just removed? :)
