Its really too bad that things ended up the way that they did. Landmark was always a work in progress, I suspect that it was the promise of EQ Next that drove most of the interest. But I will always be in awe of the talent, creativity and skill some of the players demonstrated.

A huge battle cruiser, and a crystal castle being just two of those projects that I'll always remember.

As it stands, its largely Abandon ware looking for a time and place to happen. I'd not recommend it to anyone interested in a game thats going to be around for awhile.

Yes, but Landmark doesn't walk down stairs, alone or in pairs and makes a slinkety sound.

I wonder if I'd be eligible for a refund after getting a founders pack way back when it was first announced.

This isn't a signature, you just think it is.

For $10 it's not a bad game. I've played worse for that money.

The EQN fail was very disappointing to me as well, but sometimes projects fail. I didn't buy in because why would I? It wasn't EQN. It was never really that fun to me for a builder.

Buying Landmark was never EQN. EQN was always going to require a separate purchase. Don't buy into a game before it's released if you can't take the bull and the horns. Some people never learn though.

I bought into Planet Explorers which has taken forever to finish, but it's a much more fun building game to me. It was focused on being a builder from day one, and not an engine project for another game.
For those of us that bought into the hype, It would be more like $60-$150. If it was $10 I wouldn't care. I want my money back. They've even changed it so that it's not nearly as interesting as it was during beta. I used to have to dig and explore. Now I just have to click a single button. And their explanations for "training" are a joke. This game is the reason I've stopped buying in to early access. Screw that. Its nothing but robbery.

I can't bring myself to even go back to EQ to play around. Daybreak does not deserve my money and time with their games, or anyone elses IMO.
They royally screwed the pooch with their handling of EQNext.
I only hope that someone may be able to buy the franchise and do gaming 'right' by the EQ brand. It won't be Daybreak.
