I live in Ireland, and I can assure you that no one here is shooting at anyone over these things.

Perhaps the problem isnt Pokemon go, but the insane attitude some people have towards possessing an object whose only purpose is to render a living sentient creature dead in the most efficient way possible, justifying it by citing a centuries old law that was written when said objects took several minutes to prepare and fire.

Buuut I am not going to get into that debate, it always ends up with me losing a little more of the tiny amount of faith I have in humanity.

Waiting for first lawsuit of "Player vs. Pokemon GO Developer" for damages, emotional distress, loss of wages etc.

Also waiting for the first Pokemon GO defense, "your honor, Pokemon GO made me do it."  Not Guilty, by reason of insanity!

Already being done stupid girl walked out in front of a car and was hit and is trying to sue the developer because she didn't have the brain cells to pay attention where she was going.

Lets blame to kids sitting in there car. Not the insane person shooting at people.  None of these things are new, its just the popularity of the game is why the news is reporting anything they can find that has something to do with it

After watching some of these pictures of large cities and the crowds, I'll never make fun of The Walking Dead again.

I just didn't realize it would be so literal.

Guys got issues, only certain Pokemon come out, and middle of the night is perfect for catching pokemon cause the majority of people arnt in your way capturing them out from under your nose. That's why you use a lure in the middle of the night, less competition. There is no curfew, and its no crime to be out late or all night if that's how you roll.

Late at night seems to work better with less people around and the app works better in general.

I don't think anybody should be opening fire, but with the current climate of this country you'd have to be clinically retarded to think it's ok to be wondering around on private property at night to play a video game. #Idiocracy.

I can't believe how this world is mentally regressing on the back of technology. Irony.
Dude we are living in the time where the movie Idiocracy is becoming a reality.

People need to use common sense. That goes for gun owners too.  Pokemon players need to respect people's private property, and gun owners should show some restraint and not be so quick to pull the trigger.

I live in a very remote neighborhood if anyone comes on my property in the middle of the night, if the detection lights don't scare him away my shotgun should do the trick

yah we should wait until we are attacked and its too late to defend our families and our property, that sounds like a great idea when I am dead, hopefully someone mentions I was just waiting for the kids to finish some stupid pokemon game
and the gun owner did show constraint, he probably more than likely fired warning shots into the air, not even pointing the gun at them, thats what I would do, followed by get the hell off my property or the next one wont be a warning

Honestly if some dude decided to shoot at my kid because he was driving down the street in the middle of the night.  Owning a gun doesn't give you the right to use it when you should be calling the police.  They were not on private property they were driving down the road slowly.

The stupid is all over this thing.

The "kids" should have explained what was going on and even showed the guy. The guy shouldn't have just fired on them especially if they weren't on his property.

way to read outside the lines, jeez let me guess, Hillary supporter?  Where did I say I would kill them, as a matter of fact the first line in defense is the sound a shotgun makes while cocking it.  The next is a warning shot, and the final course of action is if I feel threatened, a shot at them

This.  The hype about this game will die down shortly and we can forget that it ever existed.

Edit:  Just read the post below mine.  Bye Bye thread lol.

1:Swedish actually... But A for effort....

2: But that is the express goal of a gun. To kill a living being. It ain´t a fucking screwdriver... heck it is not even a multi-tool.... It has one single purpose... To extinguish a life. If you bring a loaded gun.. you have to take full responsibility for the fact that at some level you are ready to use lethal force and to take another life.

So yes... In short you said you are ready to out right kill someone... Why else bring the gun and not just a soundboard and good set of speakers.

ahh that makes sense now Sweden the growing capital of violent crimes, cause by people not being able to protect themselves.

I own guns, everyone I know owns guns, and not a single person I know has every used them to kill.  We in this country have a right to self-preservation, something that not many other countries have the right to do.  You just have to lie there and take it.
