I give them some leeway as they are having a scalablity issue and hopefully doing something like haproxy->varnish servers->webservers->db->redis
But their new homepage still generates 200+ requests, downloads 3.9MB of data , has render blocking js, and js chugs the browser badly and a whole slew of css errors. If the backend is anything like the front its going to be a nightmare to try to scale. Though don't use drupal, looked up how well it scales and from first impressions its possible but leaning more the the side of "its a nightmare, or you just throw tons of resources at it" which doesn't sound very cheap either.

Hi guys, i made LAMP and WAMP installations and remote administration of such servers for serveral years. I saw the biggest problem in using shit tools to create sites and having smartasses defending it. Next is multible cooks, cooking on the sources. I hope you have someone with overview xD
Nontheless its a big bummer, wish you good luck and some good heads up ^^

We are back on the old site and the forum skin hasn't been reverted. Pro developer team is who designed the new site, and they can't get it handling our traffic load. Next steps are being discussed.
If you need an consultation (free) give me a shout. Not sure how professional one can be if they can't or didn't do traffic analysis. Can e-mail me too . Flash is dead as well. anything that is done with flash should be done with css3 and jquery.
Honestly, what was wrong with the original website? I actually thought it was very efficient and easy to use. The new designed looked like Honorable and I had trouble just trying to navigate around it. The Featured section on the left side of the page contained a list of video with incomplete descriptions and the all white theme just plan sucks in my opinion.
Not mobile friendly enough. Too little space for ads.

Java and Flash are both being shitcanned. Apparently noone bothered to tell the "pros" about that little tidbit.
Java isn't JavaScript. lololololol
JavaScript is why Java is being shitcanned.
You know nothing. Who added Java into the talk? You did. JavaScript was in the conversation. I submit you made a mistake confusing Java and JavaScript.

Either way, hope you guys figure out a solution
